[3.23 Cold Conversion Blade Vortex Elementalist / Occultist (League Starter + League Finisher)
Hello there, @Chronic_Painless, great guide and great videos!
I rolled into this, as I really like Explosions and I wanted to try out Blade Vortex. So far, I have been having fun! I want to thank you for your highly detailed notes and information in the POB, it's amazing! One thing I wanted to ask about, you mentioned that you will create some more PoBs later on, for some End-Game builds. Would there be any chance you could create a PoB for an Explosion focused build, for the best blasting maps experience? (Probably without Spell Supression) I would love to have a PoB that I can look at and slowly work my way towards the big explosions. (More specifically, information about the bow + unique quiver usage) Dernière édition par Jenjur, le 3 juin 2023 11:28:07

" This was my explosion focused loadout for Crucible: https://pobb.in/pe3yaatXhBsJ The unique quiver wasn't necessary and was something of a holdover from my tankier setup (hence the suppression), but was fine enough for DPS |

can you help me , what should i upgrade next , im thinking about ditch def and invest to get more dmg for more comfort farm 80-100% deli map

" Generally I wouldn't recommend focusing on DPS at the expense of tankiness if your goal is high % delirium, since the issue there won't be killing the mobs, but surviving or maneuvering around the extreme amount of after-death and ground effects. Also, you're still at the point where you can improve your gear enough that you should be trying to invest in straight upgrades as opposed to thinking about major tradeoffs. Try to get the passive tree in the "final form" from the guide with cluster and other jewels. |

I am currently trying to speed up my leveling process. I am leveling up as cold dot, but I wonder why the build suggests the switch to blade vortex at act6 and not earlier?
I already tried it out as soon as blade vortex was available and without hrimsorrow. That felt terrible, but I wonder if it would feel good if I'd have used hrimsorrow?
@chronic_painless
Just wanted to say thank you for the guide. I've had such a good time with it and it's very thorough. I think this is shaping up to be one of my favourite builds. I was surprised by just how effective the freezefense is! I was initially hesitant looking at the defence numbers but it has been great. Managed to get up 10M dps so far with heatshiver so it's feeling pretty comfy. Cheers dude
Sorry I couldn't edit the above post
Could you maybe share what you recommend I need to have in place to be able to switch out of spell suppression so I can go with an explode chest I'm assuming it's mostly damage + freeze that's necessary so you just aren't getting hit very often but I'd like to hear your thoughts ty
" The reason to wait is that BV feels infinitely better with Unleash Support, which isn't unlocked until then very end of Act 4, and can't be used until level 38. When I'm doing the campaign with the speedrunning strats I've managed to implement despite my potato skills, I won't hit 38 until the middle of Act 5, and it'd be too awkward to drop everything and respec right before Kitava. So, I wait until the start of A6, which also makes it possible to buy all support gems from Lily. Hrims would always help, but it's Unleash that really makes a difference. " Hard to say what a cutoff point would be for dropping suppression, it largely depends on what content you're doing. For high % delirium, suppression is always going to feel really good, but for general juiced mapping it's overkill IMO. The real question is: where else could you afford to add explosions? Is a synth weapon in your budget? Perhaps Oriath's End? Or... can you make up the lost suppression from your chest with a quartz flask and some more points around the Magebane Impossible Escape? |
|
I guess I just need to just try some things out and see what works for me. Is the explode chest a noticeable difference? I'm looking to get more chain explosions they're really satisfying. I likely can't afford any explode synth stuff so I might try out Oriath's End see if that makes much difference.
Cheers mate | |
