Balance out these insane damage spikes!

Some monsters are undeniably uber but what gets me is the combination of mods some of the unique monsters can get. I tend to solo with my EA blood marauder and a few times have come across nigh unkillable unique monsters and when in a team the way the difficulty scales teams, the monster results in a truly unkillable monster, luckily I have been able to kill them but only because of a constant trap barrage with EA(Explosive Arrow).

What bothers me most though about this whole damage spike issue is that most builds are not viable due to the increased difficulty resulting in a: YES you can make whatever build you want but it won't survive secret. Seems like all the passive tree is good for now is to stock up on defense nodes which is OK but basically the entire build now seems like it has to be devoted to defense due to this damage imbalance.

I am sure GGG is working diligently on correcting this*fingers crossed, of course though there is quite a few other problems besides just damage spikes...
