[3.21] Cold Conversion Summoner | Build guides for all budgets | (Ghazzy Zoomancer)
Wow this looks great.
Is there a way to make this more tanky? Dernière édition par SassyBeard, le 21 oct. 2021 20:47:18

" There is a tanky low budget PoB on the front side that runs 35k armor and block cap |

I love the idea of the new changes with Phantasms and would be excited to give this a try. I'll be playing SSF this league, do you think it is SSF viable? Sort of worried about the Primordial Jewels and what to do before getting them.

" I just did some leveling practice and just finished the campaign for some quality control to make sure the build was strong during leveling. As soon as I killed Kitava I tried some maps for fun. Could literally farm A9 T14 rare maps with a level 62 character and level 15 skill gems. Was also using the leveling spectres (Artless Assassins) which I found in a Smugglers Heist contract in act 6. Due to the low level I only had 2k life, but the damage was there which was fun to see. Went in straight with my leveling items, mostly cheap uniques: Clayshaper, Victario's Charity, Astramentis (Easy stat solution while leveling), Tabula Rasa, Wraithlord and Vixen's Entrapment. The rest was random rares with life and resistances. Most of these uniques are extremely cheap leveling items with a very high droprate. So I'm pretty sure you'll be alright in SSF. Not many builds that can take a fresh character from the campagin straight to A9 endgame maps. I'll post a video of it :) Dernière édition par Deadandlivin, le 21 oct. 2021 22:39:33

" The build requires several very specific uniques. The triad grips alone are absolutely not optional (at least for the "cold" part of cold carrion golem & spectre summoner). I'd be very surprised if you could start this in SSF. |
|
" Awesome, looking forward to it!
" Actually due to time constraints I'm currently going to keep playing SSF standard for a bit and I was able to come across some Triads a few weeks ago luckily! I hear you otherwise though
" Here you can see me doing a Awakened 9 Tier14 rare map with a character straight out of the campaign. He is using a 6-link tabula though so keep that in mind. When I finished the campaign I literally had 1500 hp and like -30% in all res. Since this was in standard I put on some simple rare items with life and resistance just to cap it out. Dunno if it helped too much though, got myself to 2.6k but literally getting oneshot by everything cause I'm so severely under leveled. Gems being level 16 or below wasn't of much help either. It's not pretty but does far better than majority of characters who've just killed Kitava. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6eGH-VMlGY&ab_channel=HenrikSwanstr%C3%B6m Sorry for the video quality, I think there's something wrong with my recording software which butchers the frames more than usual :/ Dernière édition par Deadandlivin, le 21 oct. 2021 23:07:40

This is really solid and just what I'm looking for! Ill definitely be giving this a shot.
Just curious, I know SO are going to be best for this build with Phantasms, but how do you feel about the Frost Auto Scouts from Heist? Edit: oops, meant to quote OP above me lol Dernière édition par mslee017, le 21 oct. 2021 23:56:15

" In the early game we don't really care too much about what spectres to use, all we care for is that the spectre is strong. Frost Autoscouts are good spectres in the early game, but they're lacking in the lategame. I think they are excellent spectres if you're starting out as you can get them from Tunnel contracts during act ~7. The benefit of Autoscouts are that you they are spellcasters. Phantasms are too so you can easily use the same support gems for them. I had slight trouble in the beginning figuring out which supports to use for both my ranged phys spectres and the spellcasting Phantasms. Had to use universal support gems like minion dmg, hypothermia(cold dmg) and predator et.c. to make sure the gems scaled with both minions. Very strong supports like Vicious Bite or Elemental dmg with attacks did not work for phantasms since they're spell casters. Due to this, I think you can use very strong spell casting support gems like Spell Echo which probably is one of the best support gems in the game. The problem with Autoscouts is that they have an inherent 0% base crit, meaning they literally can't scale with crit. This is less of a downside early but becomes problematic later on since crit scaling just is too good to pass on. Also, FAS has pretty slow attack rate with their beams so I'm unsure how good they are at keeping up Phantasms during pure single target scenarios. For this reason, I decided to instead use Artless Assassin's in the early game. They do very high damage, scale well with crit and hatred, despite their 75% fire conversion. Their single target is really high and you find them the same way as you find FAS, just in a different type of contract. With the leveling build I decided to get damage scaling by going out on crit early. I'm using Increased Crit chance and crit damage support for both phantasms and spectres. I'm also running Assassin's Mark in vixens entrapment gloves which allows me to dual curse to dish out strong single target. This also scales very well with the 3 Power charges we get from Victario's Charity while clearing. If you want to try out FAS early game you can do that. I'm sure it's pretty strong too. The only annoying thing when you don't have Triad is that FAS do pure cold dmg while the phantasms do pure phys damage. But I think a very potent 6-link combo for FAS would be: - Raise Spectre - Summon Phantasm - Minion Damage - Predator - Spell Echo - Elemental Focus If you can get a pair of Windscream or Vixens for +1 curse you'd simply run Elemental Weaknes + Frostbite. I'm not sure whether it's better as I didn't try FAS to begin with since I knew I wanted to go the crit route. |
