Can somebody explain why we need bow with the profileration and the Berek's ring with the same effect but with higher radius (25 with 20)? I just swaped from elemental bow with t1 fire t5 cold and t5 lighting dmg to a perfect roled Xoph's Nurture (330% phys). And i got around 15% dmg loss on my burning arrow with the same gem setup (6 link before and 5 link on Xoph's but + proliferation so it's the same 6 link. When Xoph's will be 6 link the dps can compare with that old, not even good, bow). So if the clear effect from ring a little better than profileration then m.b. it's better to keep the ring and swap bow for well rolled elemental bow with t1-t2 elemental dmg rolls?

is there any benefit of using 2 of the same type of golem besides more damage per golem? the bonus doesn't seem to stack

" The effects are not the same. Elemenetal Prolif support results in the corpses of killed enemies staying ignited after death and then igniting other monsters that come near them. You should notice a huge difference, for example during Ultimatums, if you drop the gem and only use the ring. You could just use the ele prolif support in a normal 6-link, and drop another support I guess. But I doubt that would result in more DPS. " Yes, you get 50% increased golem buff effect per summoned golem. So the 4 duplicate golems you have when you can summon 9 result in 200% increased buffs. Which is pretty big for both defense and offense. Dernière édition par Mecielle, le 20 avr. 2021 05:34:06

" I pretty much only stop if I got something insane on the first rounds, otherwise I do all the ultimatum waves, mostly with no issues. | |
" There's also the fact that level 20 ignite proliferation adds 39% MORE damage with ignite. That is a "MORE" multiplier. https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/Ignite_Proliferation_Support But as I mentioned earlier in this thread, it is conceivable that a well-rolled elemental bow especially the new base Solarian Bow (implicit T1 fire roll) could outperform Xoph's, especially if you have multiple pierce mods elsewhere in your gear. With Berek's, clearspeed is not the problem. I'm pretty sure we're going to see somebody come up with that bow by this league's end. Dernière édition par TakenNotGranted, le 20 avr. 2021 09:22:12

hi guys,
i really loved the build while leveling and maps until deep red. but i feel so squishy, getting oneshot a lot... it really lacks defenses :( i put like 6-7 ex into it. it's really weird. some 8mod red maps i can faceroll but others (most) its just hit and run and hope badly that nothing oneshots me. also ultimatum on higher waves is insane... any input or did i just take the wrong build for this league? |

" You probably just lack gear. It's way too early in this league, with Harvest nerfs, to expect to have the defenses you could get last league. You should expect regular one-shots if you do not have: - Around 5K life - 45%+ physical damage reduction - Taste of Hate or Basalt Flask or Granite Flask (if gear has 1K+ armor) - all primordial items and 9 golems active - % of physical damage taken as elemental damage (cold or fire) mod on your helm, chest, or via Lethal Pride, synergizing very nicely with Taste of Hate, Dying Sun, potentially Wise Oak with some resist fiddling, and your Elemental Aegis which should be at least 2K based on notable passive allocation - CWDT/Immortal Call setup and a way to regularly have 3+ endurance charges up. This last item is my opinion but I feel it's way better than having Steelskin bound to your move button and randomly getting steelskin uptime. Bow builds are quite squishy generally. This is a bow build that is average squishiness even with basic or "core" gear. If you min-max it as I mention above you will have an effective HP that rivals many tanky builds, especially when you consider you can kite dangerous monsters while your ignites safely burn them down. Ultimatums, which did not exist last league obviously, limit kiting tactics somewhat and probably contribute to more one-shots if you aggressively do all trials. |

Been playing firewall+KB until I build up currency to transition to BA.
Just had a few questions, I currently have a primordial chain and can afford a xoph's bow and respite (1 and 2ex). But that'll be most of my currency and this will be a 5L bow at best. Was wondering if I'll be struggling or its not worth switching till I can afford some of the cluster jewels or another primordial eminence and eventually an anima stone too? Since the cluster jewels seem very expensive, 1 ex for the cheapest 1notable version for the medium clusters... should I wait to switch once I struggle with firewall+KB later? Or would BA not feel bad with these big items but lacking the cluster jewels? |
