What am I missing? PoB shows resistances at a very low level. How do you compensate for such significant deficiencies in: fire, cold and lightning resistances on 90+ lvl?

With Divine Flesh on the Mahuxotl shield, you take 50% of all elemental damage (from hits and from DoT) as chaos damage.
With Tempered by War keystone (from a Lethal Pride jewel), you take 50% of all cold and lightning damage as fire damage.

= all cold and lightning are converted 50% fire / 50% chaos.

I've just started to play the Viper in Affliction league.
But in the Wildwoods, she will be the Mamba !

Viper Strike of the Mamba applies one big poison, but cannot poison enemies that are already poisoned.

Clear is nice, single target dmg is ok.

Pathfinders get poison proliferation from their Ascendancy, but we can get our own effective proliferation, thanks to Profane Bloom chaosplosions, which can poison too.

Once I get to level 36, I will use this Tincture :


Poisonberry are the best Tincture IMO, because you can scale poison dmg from any kind of dmg. The Pathfinders use two Rebuke of the Vaal swords, which grant a lot of each five kinds of dmg.
Indeed, contrary to normal Viper Strike, the Mamba version does not diminish the dmg of each weapon when you dual wield. So it's like a poisonous Dual Strike.

A perfect roll on the Tincture would grant 300% inc dmg against non-poisoned enemies.
With two empty flask slots, this becomes 750% inc !

Then you can stack Low Tolerance notables on medium cluster jewels, which grant 300% inc each + poison mastery for another 300% inc.

So, you easily get >1000% inc dmg.
Imagine the destruction with Profane Bloom poisoning large packs.

Then, there would be two ways to improve the poison of the Mamba :
- Either more duration of ailments from support gems and the tree.
- Or on the contrary, reduce the duration with Sadism support and "poison deal dmg faster", so that you can often refresh the Mamba poison.

I'll make tests and see whichever works best.

I don't know whether I'll use the Mahuxolt's shield this time.

Just wanted to preface by saying thank you for putting all of this documentation together. I'm giving the autobomber a go as I'm a sucker for these types of builds.

Was it intentional to exclude Withering Step from the autobomber pob? I noticed the Quartz flask, but it gains no charges during effect. If that's the main source of phasing, how do you always keep phasing up?

Indeed, I forgot to put Withering Steps. Add it, of course.
Right also about the Quartz flask. It requires another enchantment.

I haven't played this setup for real since Ultimatum league. So I hope it still works. Let me know what you think.

I think Viper Strike of the Mamba can be better for Ulti encounters : you hit once to apply one big poison, allowing you to run more freely.
I'm currently levelling Mamba in Affliction, so I'll test it in Ulti encounters.

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I’ll be keeping a close eye on your mamba run too. I’ll likely try the tincture setup you mentioned anyway with the autobomber and see how that feels.

2 Rebuke of the Vaal swords, the best weapons for the build. Each sword has 900 DPS, costs 2c.
+ Vaal Blight, Vaal Smite

Ascendancy :

* Oath of the Maji and no gem in boots : +30% movespeed.

* With 2 empty flask slots, this Poisonberry Tincture deals 395% inc poison dmg against non-poisoned enemies (158% * 2.5)


A perfect roll of 300% inc would become 750%, that would be 32% more dmg.

I'm currently on your normal build with 83. It works for now I guess. That means maps up to lvl 6 so far.

Beginning the Atlas.

Still using Tabula Rasa. Goldrim helmet with no gems = +50% all elem res (manually added on a flask)
2 Rebuke of the Vaal blades.
Poisonberry Tincture with almost perfect roll :

1 divine

295*2.5 = 737%. Manually corrected.

My current amulet and belt are purely for defensive purpose : nearby enemies are blinded and convert 25% of their phys dmg to fire.



Future improvements :

* Amulet anointment : probably Acrimony (+15% DoT Multi). Clear, Black, Black. Not expensive.

* I will need to remove some points on the tree to get a large cluster jewel (attack or dual wield) and 2 medium chaos cluster jewels with Low Tolerance (300% inc poison dmg on non-poisoned enemies) = ~25% more dmg each.

* A small Reservation cluster, with Mortifying Aspect : 50% mana efficiency for Malevolence.

* Best armour would be The Covenant : 47% more dmg. But it's a blue armour, so it would be difficult to colour it correctly to get 2G 3R 1B.
* Other armour : Dialla's Malefaction to get +30% quality on green sockets.

* Best amulet : Ashes of the Stars

* That Which Was Taken unique jewel with "Inc effect of your curses" ?

* An Adorned unique jewel and several corrupted magic jewels ?
