The only alternative I found was Aul's Uprising to add Determination into the mix. I did it today and Determination plus ailment immunity really makes this build feel *almost* tanky. I cannot find any viable way to eek out more damage or more defense without seriously swapping up some gear.

Do you use any cluster jewels yet mate?
I am beginning Act 9 on a SSF run with this build. I really enjoy the playstyle, love the tankiness, and am hoping to carry through for a while, but have a few questions.

1. My main concern is that my DPS seems to be a bit lacking. Usually not a problem, but if I see a "life regen" rare monster, I usually have to give up and run, especially in the wildwood, and it's been next to impossible to have any success at Alva incursions. Is this just an equipment issue?

1a. Related, but the PoB suggests that toward the end of campaign, I should respec out of the early two-handed melee damage wheel (Butchery) for... more endurance and life?

2. The PoB suggests taking the Fortify mastery "melee hits fortify," but with the Fortify Support gem, this seems unhelpful?

I feel like I had more but it's the end of the day and my brain is fried, so I may be back later.

hi friend

1. some rares are like that; we can get the mastery to remove life regen from mobs if needed. dps also solves this. usually we run a 3rd warcry (infernal, rallying, seismic etc) to help keep up the warbringer proc and to keep rage going for berserk. you can have almost perma berserk uptime vs rares like this. a much better wep is also a natural upg

1a. yes, typically dmg stops being our bottle neck and we want more defensives. since you do not have tidebreaker, endurance charges are generally not super valuable. ignore them for now and go for more dmg/life/attack speed/jewels

2. if you are using fort gem, dont take the mastery :). use it if you are using a diff support gem

Also just started levelling this yesterday. So far it's been nice and smooth. Still in the tweaking stage to work out how much attack speed I need to make the build good vs other types of damage nodes / toughness.

I'm deviating a little bit in that I'll be using an axe instead of a tidebringer. I'll still have a 7-link though as I'll be grabbing the Tukohama's War Herald Chieftain ascendancy from a Forbidden Flesh / Flame Combo. Hopefully that will work out ok.

Also using the Gull & Blunderbore combo for a lot of extra AoE. Hoping I can then use Conc Effect without feeling like I'm sacrificing too much AoE. I'm trying to make it so there's less variance in the damage each hit so not planning on using a Ryslatha's or the Ruthless support gem. That might all change later down the line though if necessary.

I was playing around in POB with the large jewels trying to find one that really buffed the damage.

The issue is that I could not find a combination of 3 notables that increased DPS over taking away 10 points from anywhere else on the tree. Weight Advantage/Heavy Hitter/Devastator doesn't even beat out the DPS of the Mace cluster on the far left side of the skill tree.

I am not great in POB so maybe I am missing something.
ignore this, i'll update again soon

Hey Frawst, I am trying to find a way to increase my DPS but I am not great with POB and the tree yet. The two ways you mentioned in the past are a high DPS rare mace or going Impale.

I tried inserting the Impale jewel instead of Shockwave and found the clear to be much worse since we lose the AOE and gain what is essentially a DOT. It was better against single target high life rares/bosses but really felt bad mapping. What are the most impactful Impale items/nodes and what to we sacrifice on our standard tree?

Secondly, I was playing around in POB with switching out Tidebreaker for 800+ pDPS maces and found that we have to get into the 900's before the average damage of rares even gets close to Tidebreaker. Is this a POB illusion or is Tidebreaker really that good? Am I missing something about what type of Rare we would use to replace it?

Thanks!
Hi All,

Hope you're doing good.

So I just got to 95, and wanted to post my POB Here.

Just as context.. I'm not very good at POB and or very good at PoE, so there is likely a lot of mistakes have been made.

I decided to take a cluster jewel that gives Overlord and Feed the Fury - my theory was that i'm ALWAYS leeching mana when I spam slam - so the dmg and speed increase should be good (please let me know if this is wrong..)

I've also picked up a watcher's eye with 2x pride buff (double dmg and phys dmg - as well as a vitality buff to boost).

I feel as though something is off though. I'd love some inputs.

Also.. I'm sure someone can understand this, but I am absolutely sick to death of casting totems - my fingers are going to explode keeping swapping to the secondary skill tree. Am I doing this wrong?

Can you please post your skillbars so I understand how you guys are setting up please?

@Quariakas - I'm also wondering whether I could swap to a different weapon setup now. I have the money for it, I'd just need some guidance as well.

Thanks a lot guys, and sorry if my POB is super noob and there's lots of mistakes.. I'm mainly a d3 player, quite basic.
Hey Oliver,

Can't actually see your PoB link here but congrats on getting to level 95. This league I've found pretty rippy so that's a decent achievement there IMO.

Had a quick look at your profile and really just a couple things pop into my mind initially.

It would be quite nice to get quality on your shouts as that gives them quite a lot of cooldown recovery. Means you can spam them more often.

Also depending on how often you have Intimidating Cry exerting your attacks that already causes your slams to deal double damage so the watcher's eye mod giving you an extra chance is less useful in those instances. If you just use Intimidating Cry as part of your warcry rotation then you do get more use out of that watcher's eye mod.

I'm with you with regards to the totems though for sure. I even more fully invested in to them on my build but it is annoying having to summon them so often. I only really have the Ancestral Warchief and Vaal version but it's just another couple of buttons to push on an already crowded bar. Still I got used to them after a while but I would be VERY happy if it felt like they were less mandatory to use.

That being said you shouldn't need to swap to the second mastery bar. As long as you set keybinds up for the second mastery bar that don't clash with anything else then you can just use the keybind and it will activate the skill whether you can see the second mastery bar or not. Just takes a while for you to remember what you put where but once you do it feels fine. But yeah, you definitely shouldn't be using alt or whatever to swap to the second mastery bar every time you want to cast something on it. That would drive me insane!!!
