chaos recipe nerf way too harsh

Yes, GG nerfing it for ANYBODY, because of the few multiboxers and the complaints they generated. It's not like this initiative fell out of the sky after the recipe was there for so long.

GGG, again, solve the problem (greedy multiboxing people and others like this), not the symptom. For people like myself who got maybe 2-3 Chaos/day from the recipe (which went into the map sink), the recipe was JUST FINE.

Solve multiboxing, leave normal people alone to farm the little they can farm.

This is the worst solution possible - rushed and desperate, affecting everybody for the faults of the few exploiters.

Well put...

Agree with chaos for merciless level items. 60 is a pretty arbitrary cutoff.

Considering how expensive chaos orbs, they did the right thing.

He'll, I can run fellshrine, in a 6 man, with max MF just fine. If you want the big payoff, go to the higher levels, if you want to farm alterations stay in fell shrine.

No, they can't.
The reason normal farming was so lucrative was because the player could focus all gear on mf, load 5 extra characters into the game, get all runspeed from the tree (~150% increased movespeed total with quicksilvers constantly up) and still kill the bosses instantly without any risk of dying.
Farming brutus/merveil/vaal in merciless is a LOT slower and a LOT more risky when neglecting defenses like that.

Oh and bandits don't drop crap, nobody farms them..

Those players with boosters that you're referring to, what stops them from doing it in Merciless instead of Normal? We both know players with clvl85+ mains that are carrying 300%+ IIQ and IIR and yeah I guess for them running Brutus Merciless instead of Normal has "some" increased risk but it's still very, very low when you are 30 or so levels over the content.

I can also see how the change negatively impacts on new characters but the trade off is prolly worth it. After all, a new char is only running low level content for a short time but will be running higher level content for a much longer time.

But as an aside, I've been running Merciless Brutus solo and without boosters, (yeah call me stupid),for most of the past fortnight and it's still damn fast and still damn safe with around 250% IIQ on my map running build, ( ie. no trade offs).

And the killer is that those who are doing the duo thing with boosters could still do it much, much faster than me.

Think about the future: Acts 4, 5, 6 will raise the levels further. 60 seems ok. Its not like its 2 exalted. Sheesh.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
I agree 100% chance orbs for merciless rares is overkill. The problem was abuse killing normal bosses not abuse in merciless. And if by some chance someone can still farm merciless bosses in full mf gear while multiboxing, then more power to them. Don't ruin my farming spot because of what someone did in normal difficulty.

By then the same ppl that were abusing the recipe will be able to abuse it once more. Probably causing a further increase in the ilvl required for chaos.

I'm not too sure what to say here, but I'll try.

So it's okay if I just farm Brutus? Or Fellshrine with my boosted instance, since that would still allow you to gain the chaos orbs.

Deal

P.S. I prefer to boost in lvl 66 maps normally. Only do other runs when i need more alchs

Agreed. This new recipe was a lazy, rushed, inefficient solution to the problem. This isn't the way to go.

The change is not only overkill but fucking retarded, I expected atleast merciless to give the equivent of what the recipe does now, if multiboxer's want to farm that they need to lvl five characters to 35 and risk theyre life/xp in every single run. Not to mention the boss would take a shit load more time to kill than normal mode... I think that would be currency well earn't even for multiboxer's but instead it gives 1 chance orb? What do we do with rarity gear now? someone elightnen me please
