Map drop in SSF

yep ciel got it

although I think these rewards end at t10, but thats basically it.

also a few things I remembered:

1. uber lab. youre likely going to run it for preferrable boot enchant in ssfhc, and if you can do key runs, you can get a chest with maps. its rng but if you run it a few times on a favorable days for keys you can get a good amount of maps. youre also likely to get a unique map

2. frags. dont be scared to run your highest maps with fragments. korell is a good source of these in syndicate, but low level maps drop the div card that gives you sac frags. obviously dont run midnights if your build can do atziri, but worse comes to worse you can do that as well. each frags will increase quality

3. if you are severely struggling to get some map you missed and you have enough sextants you can remove all other maps of that tier and run adjascent maps. I do not recommend this strategy as it is expensive and it requires you to get adjacent maps, and in this league like Ive said its possible to get 3 to 1 to all adjacent maps. this was definitely a thing in previous league though, shipyard was a bitch to get.

4. perandus for unique maps. not recommended this league because there are better scarabs to get from intervention branch, and for zana mod you can use breach/harbinger instead
Nice tips grepman!

Do you know what decides which map it gives for the 3 to 1 recipe? My experience with it so far is that I had to have a map with quality in the recipe for it to give me the other one. But that is based on one try so far. (I'm in standard and have piles of the previous two generations sitting around.)

Speaking of, has anyone worked out what determines if previous generation maps are going to count towards completion or not? I've had very mixed results. One map gave me completion to all maps of that tier and lower. Other maps I've tried haven't counted as completion or included the daily quest npc.

I need to work on my chisel and fragment usage. I've always just ignored them as the game doesn't really tell you anything about them.

I still wish the map linkages affected map drops more. The Altas just feels so structureless compared to the rest of the game.
