Chris Wilson said in the interview 3.5 will bring alternative to atlas. In standard, 3.5 just offers a percentage of an alternative, just an addon like exiles or shrines with useless powers. And no, I can't play league, would love to but real life won't let me. I doubt they will fix 3.5standard, usually balances are built around the current league. Unless they introduce scarabs in standard right now, delve in standard is so rare it is hardly an addon. Ashame because THIS 3.5 has the potential to be best poe release ever! Yeah the Sulphite in Standard is pretty low, takes a whole character roll just to run one Delve node at decent depth.
