Want to play SSF but have a problem
Just keep going.
Sometimes RNG is just a little bitchy, keep going and maps will drop. Thats not unusual or anything, happens pretty much every single time on a league starter to me. Dont overthink it or get frustrated. Just run whatever you have and dont care about map drops at all. The more you focus on drops, the more likely you will end up frustrated - similar to a self fulfilling prophecy. Learn to not care about drops, keep going and you´ll be fine |

" Only other things I am aware of: - Systematically maximize Atlas bonus. Make sure to get the maps which cant be 3:1 upgraded ASAP. - Systematically maximize Zana early on: Buy 'all' her maps and make sure the Zana daily doesnt level her up. - Always try to run Shaper/Elder influenced map. This should influence your map Shaping too. - Use league mechanics for more map drops. Incursion was very good for this. - Prefer maps with more xp/map and with multiple bosses. Not 100% sure but I think such maps drop more maps. This should influence your map Shaping as well. - If you are stuck at <=T6 also do uber lab and side areas as they can drop shaped T1 maps. - Uber lab treasure chests can drop high maps too. If you are starved for maps doing uber lab is the most powerful way to get maps. But it has even worse RNG variance than normal maps. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" Exactly this. Try to lower expectations and not expect "perfection". You're bound to get disappointed and frustrated, and it's just not realistic to expect consistent drops of the same tier you're playing. That's pretty much the best drop you can get, and the RNG being random, there is going to be some spread. So just keep playing and you'll get the drops you need. In Delve this will be a little easier too, since you can get a 'free' map from Zana for each quest you complete. Naturally then best to choose one that you can't get from a 3-to-1 recipe. |

As I interpret the new patch notes: The kind of problem described here will be mostly or completely gone due to new Zana mechanics.
