Want to play SSF but have a problem

I can't make a map pool higher then Tier 4. I did some T4-T8 completions thanks to Zana selling maps to me. What happens is I buy higher tier map complete it and most of the time get no map returns. When I get +1 and then run it then get no returns.

I used more then 2/3rds of my chisels and all my vaals. Was rolling 30-40 packsize with no map returns. Here's how I roll maps

Here's my chisels left and sextants

Here's my map pool at level 85 with over 30 hours on my character

9 x t1s, 10x t2s, 8 x t3s, 2x t4s

When run out of chisels and sextants what do I do? How do players sustain maps? I don't understand. I have a close friend who also plays SSF and he just alchs and goes and he had T10+ Map pool under 20 hours in.

I'm tempted to say it's just bad luck. I don't bother with using chisels or alchs on white maps. I just transmute them, maybe alt and augment a couple times to get nice mods and go. I've never had a problem with building a decent map pool.

Several leagues ago me and my friends and I collected statistics of map drops, and the result was that the base droprate is slightly over one map drop per map run. Accounting for map tier, the sustain point is somewhere around T10. Magic and rare maps as well as the atlas bonus push it further up.

What item filter are you using? Are you sure it doesn't do something stupid like hide maps that are below the current tier? Especially on higher tiers you need to take the lower tier maps as well or you won't be able to sustain your pool. In fact you'll start running out of maps as low as T3 if you ignore lower tier drops.

I use a self made item filter I'm 100% sure doesn't hide any maps. I pick up all maps I did vendor some if I needed a certain completion for my atlas. Had this issue since I started playing in 2013 honestly. When playing regular leagues I have to start buying maps around Tier 4-5 otherwise I can't make maps whatever I do. Many leagues I was stubborn and did not buy maps and pushed level 90-92 many times on T4-T5 Maps. Anyways this is what is in my filter for maps

Show
Class Maps
DropLevel >= 77

SetTextColor 255 215 0
SetBorderColor 255 255 255

Those filter rules for maps seem sensible. Hard to say what is wrong then.
You have 40 challenges, an account full of level 100 characters, and problems sustaining white maps?

That's correct sir. I buy maps in trade leagues from other players. Been doing so since Domination league. I can honestly say I spent over 2000 exalts on maps.

Do you kill most mobs and the bosses on your maps?

Also: The system is (from a mathematical POV) made so that you are likely to fall back at some point. Only way to overcome it is persistent grind. I have similar issues at least once per league but (for me) it has always been possible to overcome per "grind more".

(GGG does some questionable things with accounts though. It may be possible you got flagged in some way or another.)
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

This early on I always kill boss and make there is less then 50 monsters on every map.
Very late game when I buy Shaped Dunes I will skip the boss if it's not efficient. Rough estimate I ran over 20,000 shaped dunes and during that time I noticed on average I would get 1 map return every 30 Boss kills or so. Anyways not at that point though low tier maps are fairly easy so I do everything

I did message them about my account being flagged and they said it wasn't so idk

Found the email

Here is what was said to me

For your second question, I've looked into your account and it does not appear that any unusual events have occurred in this case. If you have any further questions about this, please let us know.

Use the 3:1 recipe to unlock more maps and push for higher atlas progression numbers.
Its fairly simple to push through white maps this way. Same goes for yellows.

Going this route is far more efficient and resourceful, because you´ll be vendoring maps you never intended to run in the first place and thus can save more valuable map crafting currency for higher tiers.
