The 4 stash tab that free to players get is just not enough anymore.

regardless if someone is able to buy a tab for 5 dollars or not, the argument is if they need to. in the current case of path of exile, you do need to. not just him but anybody that plays this game for a league will need to - and that is exactly the issue.

giving a few more free tabs isn't going to stop people from purchasing more tabs that want to purchase tabs - but it will however feel a lot less required to purchase tabs from people who don't want to

I agree! it's not going to hurt GGG's pockets. It's Not like people are going to stop buying tabs. LOL

Nowadays, if you wanna play with 4 tabs, i guess you gotta:
-lose dozens of hours to trade orbs into exalts and chaoses /most players ignore you if wanna trade just few cheap orbs so you will lose extra time nowdays compared to before when we werent that meta zombies and did much more mini trades imo/
-gotta ignore more div cards but even then to keep 1/3 of a tab just for them
-gotta keep only items that worth more than lets say 2c+ per square tab space taken and still sell them asap or transfer them to extra tab-char /btw extra time wasted to sell an item cuz no premium tab/
-worry about space when find a gg item you wanna use but for another build or something to keep for std maybe
I gave up the idea of playing the free game for free because its one of my hobbies and its more fun if get/buy few extra things /especially based on fact i play it few years/. The problem now is to try see where is the line between "once&forever" and "imtoolazyillbuyit" because the greed and laziness arent best friends. :)
Imo GGG could give us and mostly new players 1-2 more tabs for free if they do something in twitch /like when we got free purple mtx/ or just for a anniversary as "thank you" etc.

Stash tabs have been borderline ethical MTX for a long time.
They are not ethical anymore.

And to all the usual "lel u poor" and "y u no support GGG" comments that I'm sure are in this thread - without even reading it - I can say one thing: nothing forced me to buy Black Hole portal effect.

I get what you are saying but my pov (admittedly as someone who doesn't have a shortage of tabs) is that the game is 'free to play' not 'free and easy to play'. You have 120 tabs technically speaking if you create 29 mules and use their tabs.

Annoying as hell and cumbersome as hell? sure. But to say its 'Impossible to play with 4 tabs' is just wrong. Tabs are one time purchases that'll last the entirety of your poe time (unlike skill mtx etc) and are relatively cheap to buy. Either invest for the convenience or live with the annoyance I feel.

Not to imply that normal players will ever do this, but it is technically possible to hit 100 every league with the 4 free tabs, as Aila has done for the last 5 leagues. That is an example, to me, of going 'I can't/won't buy more tabs so will instead get creative about optimizing the space I do have'.
