Gem swap macro(s)

The tl;dr is that move mouse to {location}, left-click is not okay.
Nah, I'm probably wrong. I didn't see see move-mouse discussed in your sticky thread, though, so it may be worth adding.

I hadn't gotten around to tackling it before today, but I added it a couple of hours ago.

Why do you keep calling it a sticky thread? :P

The logout is likely just alt/f4, so a single input, and technically legal due to that i guess.

Basically macros that do more than one click/function arent allowed, so opening inventory, moving cursor to set coords, left click, move to set gem location on your gear and click to swap, then move the replaced gem back to inventory, then close inventory... thats a total of 8 minimum actions, and with a macro could all be done in under half a second easily, allowing perfect quick gem swapping mid fight on the fly... just no...
There isn't any way that this would be allowed....that should be blatantly obvious.

You are literally automating actions and hiding it behind basic descriptions.(it's basic/partial botting)

Even the more drawn out one of

F1: open inventory (OK)

F2: click on gem (not OK as it involves automation to move the cursor to the gem and click on it)

F3: swap (Not OK because it moves the gem and cursor to the item with the other gem in it and places it in while removing the old one)

F4: put back gem (not ok because it move the gem/cursor back to the selected inventory slot)

F5: close inventory (OK)

Being able to essentially instant swap out entire gem setups midfight is clearly an unfair advantage. There is a limit to the number of gem sockets for a reason.
HAIL SATAN!
First of all, thanks for all answers.

Just to clarify, I do not need the gem swap macro, but I am lazy and prefer to click on some buttons instead of having to focus to hit the gem slot before each boss fight (no matter what, I still got 15 sec to do it). And that means that I don't have any problems with pressing a ton of buttons to swap the single gem (aoe to conc), so my last question is, would this be ok?

F1: open inventory
F2: move mouse to gem
F3: click the gem
F4: move mouse to gem slot
F5: swap
F6: move mouse back to inventory
F7: place gem
F8: close inventory

Just curious as to why those macros would not be allowed? As far as I can tell, both of his methods are 1 button press = 1 server action. So what other rule could he be violating?

Because in each of these methods you still need to count the mouse moving...that's a minimum of 2 actions per button already.

And that entire setup takes longer than if you did yourself, on top of it also breaking ToS needing to detect socket colors in order for items to fit, on top of moving items to/from your inventory in a bot like fashion.
