100 hours, no exalted drop. Is this normal?

Hello. So I'm sure this is a common question, and I apologize. But I gotta ask. I'm over 100 hours. I've spent a ton of time in magic and rare quality maps. Not one single exalted orb. Is this normal. I wasn't salty for the longest time... But I'm officially over 100 hours, lmao. Where's my RNG. Am I unlucky or is this about normal.

Yes, this is perfectly normal. There is no guaranteed drop of any currency. You can go an entire league without seeing an exalt drop at all.

I don't have the slightest clue, and GGG does not publish drop rates. Either way, it's always going to be a random chance. Given what the rarity is, 100 hours is an extremely small sample size to draw any conclusions from. (I am not exactly sure what kind of conclusions are you trying to draw in the first place. Drop mechanics work the same for everybody.)
For comparison, I average maybe 2 exalt drops per league, and that is a lot more than 100 hours /played. If you want more currency drops: - Get faster clear speed. - Get more IIQ and pack size on your maps. - Get more IIQ on your character. Nothing else matters. To give you an idea... I've played this game since the start of closed beta on and off and surely have well over a couple of thousands of hours in. I just had my first Exalt drop in this Incursion league about three weeks ago and have had 3 or 4 since.
Some folks get really lucky but I'd say the majority of players gotta put that work in for currency... If you find yourself disagreeing with something I've said then you can take solace in the fact that you are no longer alone in the world.

Ok for sure. Well thanks for the perspective :). Feeling less salty, lmao. Not mad, just seems like I see alot of exalted orbs drop in tube videos but those are cut and I'm sure they have gear to help em with that. By the way, I was gonna grab IIR. I'll go to IIQ instead. Thanks again :)

" IIR <<<<<<<<<<<<<< IIQ. iir only helps with rarity of ITEMS (normal, magic, rare, unique) but iiq makes more maps, currency and items drop. so if a smaller % of your items are rare/unique, you will still have an increase in volume of unique/rare items. |

well a little crazy guy did 10.000 ( yes ten thousend ) T3 burial chamber maps with IIQ Gear and he found around 70 ex ( with around 150 IIQ Map + Gear )

when I was playing for about 6+ hours a day 6 days a week sometimes Id find 3 in a day sometimes Id go 8 weeks without finding any. This is the kind of rng you are dealing with when it comes to exalts.

I usually hit about tier 10 maps before my first exalt drop in a league, most often when I'm running with 1 other person. If you want to raise your odds, run with someone (increases IIQ by 60% per person, but more people = more splitting of loot)
That being said, I've also gotten 2 ex drops in a single map before, so it's really a matter of luck. If you're really interested in getting an exalt drop, and if you play standard at all, you can run with my MF build for a few hours and we'll probably get at least one.
