Spectres are way better for clearing... As far as bossing some Spectres are great at single target but not going to beat out Skeletons.

After league starting with Kay's build for 4 leagues (and min/maxing in 2 of those leagues) I decided to take a break from Spectres in 3.11.
I'm looking at coming back to this build tomorrow, but honestly, with the offering and block nerfs, my biggest concern is survivability. (Sentries were busted before, so I'm assuming even with their nerfs they're still gonna be insane dps).
How tanky is the build looking after the offering/block nerfs? I absolutely hate dying.

I am in the same boat. This league I am building tankier since clear speed has never been a problem for me with spectres since Betrayal. I am skipping all the cluster jewels and stacking life instead. Also going to stick to ranged Spectre leaning towards Baranite Thaumaturge but may also give RS a try.
