... Why does it not say anywhere on the item that you require a Vial, much less a specific one, to upgrade it? If you find for example Soul Drinker, how are you supposed to know that you even need a Vial, much less which one? Is a player just supposed to take it to the Altar, discover they can't currently upgrade it, and go "well, fuck?"
