How to get high crit chance ?

Hi everyone! I'm playing PoE for now 6 months, and I usually ask some questions no forums when I need to... So let's go!

I'm playing an ele spectral throw this league (I couldnt play a lot but I just got back to it yesterday) and I'm kinda very poor lol, I just dropped 2 exalts... Anyway the problem is that I got 40% crit chance, and it seems to be veryyyy low, cauze I only freeze T8 ennemies, but not T8+ ennemies, so I'm kinda slow at clearing. I got the flat dmg, but not the crits... You can check my build, I'm dual wielding with 2 Wasp Nest, got crit chance on amulet, but still got those 40% crit chance... My multi is good (324%).

Pls help me I rly dont know how to improve it !

edit : i check ur char, up the Q and cfraft ur diamond and check your crit chance with "lucky" then if you want more buy expensiv item :D / or stop crit go Elemental overload and farme for later ^^

You're dual wielding, but you haven't taken Twin Terrors? It's undeniably one of the best passives for crit builds that dual wield. There's also the 2 crit nodes around Fencing, which grant 40% each.

Also your choice of gear is very questionable, especially your claws. You're playing an elemental build that sources it'd damage from flat increases and not conversion. You shouldn't be using physical weapons unless you're converting from physical to elemental, which you aren't. Drop them and buy some rare elemental claws, or make your build convert from physical damage to elemental.

You need to get better claws with enough frost damage if you want to freeze ennemies.

Also, don't let empty gem socket on your gear it's a waste, use herald of thunder with your curse on hit setup.

Grab an ice golem.

I didn't watched your tree because I'm on mobile atm but try to get more crit node or crit jewels.

Take some diamond rings.


If I was you, I would first buy better elemental claws, if you have problem it T8+ maps I bet it's because your elemental dps is too low.

To freeze high tier enemies with duration you need more damage/crit damage/freeze duration. All of these, or a working combination.
Crit chance may not cut it alone at times.

If you find your crit chance lacking, there's also workaround - by combining it with flat chance to freeze (frostbite/skill tree nodes/etc). It's not necessary to work strictly around crit chance.

To increase clear speed you may count on HoI - the secondary explosion allows you to shatter big packs of mobs even with a moderate crit chance. If overall damage is sufficient.

Well I just bought both claws 60c each x) they aren't good ? What stats do I must look for ? Adds # to # cold dmg ?

I dont understand why I should put herald of thunder, and where I should put it, can you tell be more precise pls ?

yeah sry herald of thunder might be on CoH but there's herald of ice, and my mana reserve doesn't allow me to have another aura :/
