New Deadeye Ricochet with piercing projectiles

The new deadeye ricochet node (according to dev manifesto) gives projectiles 10% more damage with each remaining chain. I assume this means that projectiles which pierce before chaining will get the full bonus each time they pierce, since all of their chains will still remain. If so, that could mean some pretty neat combos.

Also, if it does work like that, then I wonder what happens with projectiles which always pierce? Eg: frost bolt, wild strike (cold projectiles) etc..
Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea:

I think so , projectiles which pierce before chaining will get the full bonus (at least +10% more damage) each time they pierce, since all of their chains will still remain.

I really happy that Deadeye become stronger in next patch. Because nowadays , Deadeye is the lowest popular in ranger ascendancy class (refer to Abyss league statistics).
I'm personally going off the assumption that since it's worded as "remaining" chains, and piercing projectiles don't get to chain, they don't receive the bonus.

The Projectiles still have X Chains on them all the same, it simply doesn't come up until the Projectile does not Pierce.
we need a lawyer for this or a physicist
Yeah I was thinking this might be pretty cool with spectral throw.

Cool, thanks Vipermagi!

In particular with wildstrike, the skill gem says it gives:
"Chains +(4-7) Times
2 additional Projectiles
Projectiles Pierce all Targets"

Normally the chain would only apply to the electricity part, because the projectiles pierce (so won't chain). But I wonder if those chains will mean extra damage for the projectiles using Ricochet.

...Wow that's stupid. Yeah, no, way I read it that would totally work.
+6 chains from helmet enchantment

Should get some attention from GGG maybe. But its only with 1/3 chance - Trickster gets 45% with just one node. If Ignite would still be a thing. Or maybe there is some OP interaction I dont see?

edit typo
No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

I was also looking at Wild Strike, but I was under the impression that the Chain is not a projectile. Is that chain a projectile? If it is, I guess one third of the time, you deal a lot of damage.
