[3.10] From League Starter to Shaper – Cheap, Tanky, Fast and Fun Physical ST – Very Detailed Guide

I wanna use this as my SSF starter build for next league, tho u say there are leveling builds in replays, can someone share them? It's kinda hard to find them with 93 pages =/

I don't know what you mean with "replays". I just said there are leveling guides on the forum, on other sites and on youtube. I've never used any of them and I don't see the need, but if you want one just use google. My suggestion is to just join a party and go fast and make reasonable choices on node order on the tree. The details don't really matter.

I've added the 3.9 changes section. Some good, some bad but overall I think it's an improvement for us.

I've gone through the entire guide and changed everything that is affected by 3.9. Changed the structure slightly too. Good thing I reserved 3 posts when I made this because I'm running out of space :P

That's probably why, since brutality would drastically increase impale dps. The Brutality more dmg mod is actually really insane, 59% more damage vs inc crit only giving about 27% more.

Now that I've had some time I checked your suggestions about Brutality and Impale and you're right. I downloaded the forked PoB but also verified it with my own calculations. It makes sense once I realised that I had underestimated the added damage from Impale. Thanks for the suggestions. I've given you credit in the 3.9 section.

Thanks for looking the PoB over. For suffixes on the flasks for extra damage, consider Acceleration (atk speed) and the bench craft "of the Order" for extra crit. We have free suffixes due to slayer ascendancy anyway.

I was wondering how you can sustain mana with such a high attack speed, since it seems like the manacost/sec is greater than mana regen+ mana leech / second. Do you craft a -mana cost on rings?

Those are good suggestions, thanks. I haven't really looked into the new flask suffixes. I'll add them.

I didn't have any mana problems after getting Soul Raker and a good set of claws. For leveling mana on hit is better early on. But try not to miss too much.

Hello Aias, Im new in poe but spectral throw has always been my favority spell that I wanted to play with. It looks really cool. What I wanna know about your build is that since I would only play one character; is it possible spend all my time to min-max(crafting etc) that build or it heavily sits on certain items that I can no longer improve it?(Dunno how it works in poe, sorry if thats a noob question)

Also is it possible or actually too bad to use herald of ice in that build? I love to freeze things and the shattering blast in the end

Up to 3.8 this build could easily do everything except Uber Elder. 3.9 has a lot of new bosses so I can't guarantee what it can do against them. I'm pretty sure that it'll do all right though. I has a good combination of speed, damage and tankiness. Min-maxing depends on your budget. With 10-15ex, depending on league pricing, you can buy pretty much the best gear you can find (with the exception of extremely high end claws). If you have a budget of 50+ex you can certainly find other builds to invest in that can cost hundreds of exalts to min max.

HoI is not compatible with the pride/brutality version. You can use it with the older version if you want but don't expect to freeze/shutter very much as we don't invest in that. This build relies on physical and not cold damage.
