[3.10] From League Starter to Shaper – Cheap, Tanky, Fast and Fun Physical ST – Very Detailed Guide

I'm playing this as a league starter in Flashback Softcore, and wanted to share my thoughts with this build:

The biggest issue people seem to have is mana sustain. I got the Mana Flows Passive directly in the duelist area first before continuing with the tree. Gave me nice mana reg (I leveled with 1 mana flask until lvl 50) and nice int for the first claws.

Biggest Issues when upgrading gear were the str and int requirements because of claws and ancestral protector. I took both +30 int nodes and one +30 str node to ease up the attribute requirements.

The Damage is a bit low while leveling, but I could buypass that by buying Ornament of the East and Mortem Morsu early (Getting Chaos Orbs is not a problem since Harbinger drop Chaos shards, which add up quite fast) Next upgrades are gonna be Wasp Nest Claws for me.

I would not recommend this build as a hardcore starter, since it feels really squishy in boss fights (immortal when fighting big packs of mobs though)


I currently am Level 59 and reached Blood Aqueducts, Sitting on a 4l (ST, PPAD, GMP/SP, Maim). For Flasks I am using 3 res flasks and a movement speed flask, also i mostly use whirling blade to move, so i might change that up later (my ms flask is the only one with anti freeze atm)

Overall I must say it is nice to play a Physical Spectral Throw Build for once, thanks for the great guide :)

I too am using for softcore flashback, only have limited play time this week so only 17, but found some decent claws early on.

Getting the proper unique claws really helps with leveling. Don't neglect that. They're stupidly cheap anyway.

I got two unique claws at level 20ish. Am now 45 in act 5. Swapped one of the unique claws for a less damage claw, but mana on hit. That has helped.

Sorry if this has been discussed in this thread already, but what would be a good substitution for Blood Rage when doing lab etc.?

Just remove it. There's no need to put anything in its place. You can't reserve any more mana anyway.

vaal haste. you have to press 1 button more but its a nice damage and QoL buff

I’m currently running this build in hc recently decided to change to blade furry as main skill with fortify connected in the link and attic armor also running cast when damage taken with enfeb and immortal call feels very hv viable as of rn I’m only lvl 71 about to head to maps

At bandits I took Alira instead of killing all. Is that do able or break the build?
