How long does it take to farm 100 exalted orbs?

i have played this game 21 hours and i got told that 100 exlated orbs is enough for most geared build!!

so i wonder lets say you're lv 80-90 and how long does it take to farm 100 exalted orbs ?!!

Probably a few thousand hours of play, no joke.

Depends on what you mean by "play". If you're just killing stuff counting up exalts, I'd plan on about 1 per 100 hours of play. If you're trading for them, probably closer to 1 per 10.

If you're trading for profit, you're looking at a different sort of growth... almost geometric. Once you have a lot, you earn a lot quicker. The actually curve is more logistical, but for the early part of your growth it feels geometric.

Who ever told you to shoot for 100 ex is a poor player. He's making up for not knowing how to play by spending a ton on gear. A good player doesn't even need to trade.

That's just a stupid amount, you can run any build with a very decent optimization for 3~4 exalts, then it's just min maxing and showcase.

Just be happy of your first exalt drop in a couple of weeks / months like everyone and don't mess up your mind with this kind of stuff, you will learn by yourself.

If you're really on a quest to get 100 exalts, you need to learn a whole lot about trading. You need to buy items that are being sold by people who sell them for less than the market price to get a quick sale, and turn around and sell it to someone who is willing to pay more because they don't want to waste their time waiting for a good price.

You need knowledge, patience and capital to pull that off... all of which you sound short on.

yes through knowing what market needs at the first weeks of the leagues you can make huge profit. 10-15ex per day is not hard.

By farming,
well, if you rush to atziri(boss) and start killing her at first day in the leagues, you can sell whatever she drops for good prices. in 3 days you can jump to shaper farming and repeat the same with him. With the currency you got from killing bosses you can start selling/buying items in the market exploit weaknesses of people etc. My friends can make couple of mirorrs in first weeks like that.

Talking about new players, if you want to be able to make big currency, you should forget about it first, and just play the game. Because while struggling in the game, you'll learn what YOU need for your build, around what the market is turning around and according to that you can know what to sell/buy, what to keep, what to sell, what to look for. Nobody can teach you that, you should feel it and follow what you have in you.

So far wwe talked about market & rushing killing bosses in leagues. Let's say you are a new player and you'd like to know how much you can do by farming per hour.

About farming, get a fast build, add a little Magic find gear to it and start farming, i do like 3-4ex per day(5 hour play) by just picking orbs that drop, selling the rares that drop etc.

Play the game, feel the struggle first though.

I'm a guy who has more than 6k exalts in items, i'm not rich in this game but let's say, i can buy whatever i want that fits to my builds i want to do.

i'll sum up how to make good profit by trading as short as possible though: divination cards.
