make clarity low lvl, and get the reduced mana resereved and charisma nodes, which give you 12% reduced mana reserved.

The helm doesn't give the aura. It increases the effect of the curse by 30%.

under endgame gear he has despair linked with blasphemy in the helmet

LL is low life, CI means chaos inoculation. Low life in this build works by taking the pain attunement skill node which increases damage by 30% when on low life, chaos inoculation is a skill node that makes you immune to chaos damage, but makes it so that you only have 1 hp and have to rely on energy shield only.

I like the idea of this build and want to learn it but as first time playing essence drain it feels a bit clunky. So a few pointers would be appreciated.

First I know my gems are still low level and my dps will peak when they are maxed out.

But still I feel really squishy even when I have 7,5k shield and casting contagion always before essence drain feels slow and is hard to target. I keep getting killed by some trash mobs even in T9 maps. Am I doing something wrong?
