2 Handed Melee is dps wise worse than Dual Wield

Also someone mentioned cleave, that skill was made for dw, it is one of the very few dw skills, being able to use it with sword/shield or 2h does not automatically means it should be, this can be applied to a lot of things.

The "most rewarding" was actually a stupid thing to say by me. What I actually meant was that if you play just play with rares and a self crafted weapon, 2h should require the least amount of passive/ascendancy investment to do a certain amount of damage or to get a certain clearspeed, simply cause that would mean that it is the most offensive way by logic.

But that is not the case, pretty much all builds except Earthquake that can be played as DW or 2h, have, with the same investment, better clearspeed and same or higher damage when played as Dual Wield.

So if you play Sunder an Ascendancy that can play both DW or 2H like zerker or jugger, with rares and a self crafted weapon, then your choice is pretty much "play dual wield or be an idiiot".

2h can get another 6L which is nothing to scoff at in the slightest. also base numbers don't mean a whole lot, 2H also get higher modifiers.
2H let's you wear koam's heart which is huge advantage over belly.

2H nodes are between templar and duelist, dw are between duelist and assassin (or marauder and ranger if you take specialised weapon nodes and rt)

naturally 1h will have access to +3 power charges if willing while 2h will have access to +3 end charge.

all in all, 2H has more potential for regening, resilience, while 1h is more about leech, dps and clearspeed.

also movements skills: flamedash/leapslam(slower but steadier) VS flamedash/wirlwindblade or flamedash/shieldcharge

No, you don't use deadly ailments and unbound ailments to scale bleed, that's how you kill your normal damage, you just use all the physical gems + ruthless/damage on full life. All 5 support gems scale both your normal dps, and bleed dps with no downsides. Bleed can boost your dps by around 70%.

yep, 2-hander allows you to use any chestpiece, even unlinked and/or use a 6L single-target setup or a totem... and 2-handers look way cooler too :D

I will have to check that once I get home, I'm really interested how it is actually scaled.
