DPS/ES leech numbers for crit howa after 3.0 (POB)

Yeah 1-10 compared to 2-12 is a 27% ish nerf. Considering the weapons were trivializing the game, I don't think they become dogshit now as mentioned by I_NO. Reflect will definitely be an issue, but then again, reflect is an issue for all pure builds (pure phys, pure ele), which before was only balanced by having the ES buffer. Hopefully there are some changes to reflect in 3.0 because reflect will become a much bigger issue for so many more builds now. I mean I used to 1 shot myself to any random reflect rare playing a Slayer that has 50% reduced phys reflect!

It's actually a nerf of 21.4% just in terms of lightning damage which is equivalent of a 27.3% boost looked backwards.

For funny bonus information, seeing as OP listed 88% accuracy, lycosidae would be roughly 29% more crits.

It's fucking ridiculous really. I must be a bit careful in my claims here as i haven't finished crunching the data but.. I'm doing a normal build scaling claw phys, with things like hatred (% of phys damage), etc etc. All the classic scaling. I'm using better gems (more tooltip multiplier), no crit chance or lightning pen, i got higher crit chance, higher crit multiplier, higher attack speed, more increased damage(maybe, not sure), etc etc etc. And the result is my tooltip damage output is like 5 times lower than builds like howa. And this is one of my good builds even with extremely efficient tree and so on.. i sometimes don't understand how it's possible to get those numbers seeing as i've pushed most things i possible could and trying out all different choices and theorycrafting them and applying any ideas i see others do etc etc. What i am trying to say is, i don't really think these claws are balanced even the new version they need nerf how can they get 5x damage from this random trash? Fuck that. Even if sacrificed more to get offense and pushed out the last potential upgrades, like 2-3 sources of wed and also in theory doubling my base weapon damage(mirror claw), i wouldn't even be close to that for like many many times the cost. It's not balanced.
I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

Now that is a good post.

I would still go shapers touch for accuracy, 1000 int is enough for 2000 accuracy, and leave shield for anything else.

Im not doing any maths on accuracy here, but i guess with all % accuracy nodes, and int going higher than 1000 that could be enough to be way higher than 90%.
Actually I think that HOWA deserves another nerf on top of the general ES nerf. For most ES builds would be unplayable by then, but HOWA would still be slightly playable.

Yep, it's still a 900+ dps weapon vs let's say a 300pdps claw, and elemental right now scales so much better than phys that it's easy to have these ridiculous results when comparing builds.

I'm also really surprised they didn't mention Brutus Lead Scepter, but I have a feeling it's because it won't really be available anymore (or extremely rare) compared to HoWA so they are leaving it as broken OP.
here's a thought. If you have a howa bild, remove vaal pact and put on a shield in off hand. Now go see how bad or good it is. I think its horrible without leech.

Yeah, instant leech removal is true nerf.

There is no knowledge
That is not power
If insta leech is gone, there's no point running ANY attack based ES build.

It all depends on what further changes occur in the beta, regarding reflect, pantheon, etc. Maybe something will change that will make the lack of insta leech not so bad. But as things stand now, yeah, RIP all direct damage ES builds, IMO.

Not sure which number to look at. But 500k+ or even 700k+ dps? With that much dps you shouldn't be able to go over 5k ES... (IMO)

Also, get fuckt.
