Why is a high-rolled Ventor's Gamble Worth So Much?
Why is a little tiny house on lake wapogasset worth over $300,000?
because I can get people to pay that goods and services are worth exactly what someone will pay for them I dont see any any key!

" His logic works for all items. But he takes out the time factor. Time has value too. If you want that ring to sell quickly, you have to lower its price. If you are willing to wait for the right buyer, you could actually increase the price. |

Because Ventors is ridiculously good if well rolled - for something that is desired by one of the most desired playstyles. Nevermind that to buy something for 30ex++ is probably never going to be returned in terms of items found within a realistic timeframe. The amount of iiq/rarity in addition to decent life and huge resistances is absolutely insane however, insane.
Also if you break down the chance to get good rings, you will see that they are statistically very expensive to divine to that level - which means there aren't that many. Take that focus that the playerbase has on this item + rarity + sheer power = megahype super expensive. Sometimes it matters most for the price where the masses flock to, and it being a unique item it becomes accepted behaviour much more easily than rare items ever will. That plus its gambling rng nature and astronomically low chances of getting near-perfect makes this item hugely desired = price skyrockets in limited supply. Not to mention that the good old andvarius goldring if decent rolled used to still sell for exalts. That is with arguably worse MF stats, or roughly the same, but with always -20% all resists. This ring is just leagues better its fucking absolutely nuts insane. Up to 50% all resist? Life? Huge mf stats? Jeeez. You need mirror level legacy rares to compete and even then they aren't "that" much better. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all. Can't believe no one answered this question yet:
" Yes. But Increased Item Quantity is no longer allowed to be generated on new non-Unique items, which means that it is literally impossible to find non-Unique IIQ rings in Legacy, or in any temporary league (has been impossible for a while now). So Ventor's is a "next best option" in temporary leagues. ... besides that, it is also the scarcity factor, as has already been discussed to death. Need game info? rarity has value if part of your currency farming strategy involves the chaos recipe, for which your bottleneck is always going to be unidentified rare amulets. Or, there are certainly other reasons.
Rarity and quantity bonuses have a multiplicative effect when it comes to "number of rare items that will drop". So for a very small niche of players (who use vendor recipes on rare items and already have quite high clearspeed) an item with quant and substantial rarity in the same gearslot has some value. Some people will use thief's torment / similar IIQ compared to two ventor's. No rarity. Some people will use gold rings and amulets / no quant. The only place you can get quant on a rare ring is in standard league, on legacy items. I know shags and stormy understand these things I am just dissecting it further for others who are still asking more questions. So some people want two ventor's because you can get 10%IIQ and 40%IIR per ring. Trouble is the stat pool; you are going to have to spend a lot of divines to make them flexible switches depending on how much resist you get from your normal rings. This is also why most ventor's are only worth something like 1-2c. And why a very well rolled ventor might be considered to be worth the same number of divines it would cost to put together. -- I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago.
