Why is a high-rolled Ventor's Gamble Worth So Much?
I'm referencing this one here I found on reddit.
![]() Low life roll and no DPS additions. I roll tri-res boots with 30% MS and still only get like 5-10c. Especially on a ring slot, wouldn't you rather have something with tri-res and WED, Crit, etc.? Dernier bump le 31 mai 2017 à 13:04:19

Not everyone cares just about damage bruh - edit/ quantity > all, thats why IIQ gem is so expensive and biscos is ran on almost every char that doesnt need chayula lol

IIQ is the most powerful stat in the game, and not easy to come by. Ventor's and pre-1.0 drops are the only rings with it. Combine that with the extremely low chance of getting a well-rolled Ventors, and ones with perfect IIQ and good other rolls go for a lot.

that ring has 6 stats with very wide roll ranges. Let's break down the probabilities first to understand what percentile this specimen is in.
45 life from a 0-60 range: 75th percentile (1 in 4) 10IIQ (key stat) in a -10 to 10 range: about 96th percentile (1 in 21) 28% rarity of [-40 to 40]: 85th percentile (13 in 81) 50% resist of [-25 to 50]: 98th percentile (1 in 76) 40% resist of [-25 to 50]: 86th percentile (11 in 76) 34% resist of [-25 to 50]: 78th percentile (17 in 76) Overall about 1 in 1.2 million ventor's gambles will roll with similar stats. Now, I did that geometrically, maybe an arithmetic approach would fit better with what most people interpret as "similar". That approach would call this ring about 1 in a hundred thousand, so still quite unobtainable. why the difference? it's about perspective; if that seems absurd take some statistics - if you're interested in why and how things happen, it's actually very fascinating! If anything, he has underpriced this ring substantially. Either that, or it's a fake. -- I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago. " Cause it's overpriced by maybe 50 ex. It's as noobtrap as you get it. Buy a legacy thief's torment and laugh while some idiot pays 10ex+ for this. |

So if the IIQ is most important, wouldn't the rings that stormyknight posted above be worth the same price or even more? I didn't think 10% IIQ was that important, seeing as how Onslaught leaguestones were making very little of a difference. And a 10% IIQ difference when rolling maps isn't a dealbreaker is it?

" It's the stacking of multiple sources of quantity that makes the difference. A single quantity item isn't going to cut it, of course. You have to be realistic about these things.
