What is the point of % Chance to Freeze?
" I simply added the crit in there to ensure no confusion that the freeze chance did indeed proc. So 115% freeze duration should be 2.25% or higher, so I can basically freeze everything except high tier bosses. Which is my goal so I'm glad I didn't botch this toon. " Whaaaaale, to be fair, there is also the Map modifier "30/60/90% chance for enemies to avoid Status Ailments." So you gotta pass that check too :P Come to think of it, that probably doesn't work against Proliferated Freeze, so there's another benefit to non-Crit Freeze :P Need game info? Planning on being a shadow. Assuming the build remains unchanged in 3.0. Not gonna proliferate it. Figure if I crit often enough the Freezing pulse covers so much area I won't really need it. Plus proliferating freeze is apparently annoying since the dead don't proliferate like the other status ailments do since the corpse doesn't stick around to pass on the cold plague.
It's going good so far, just hit 50, Haven't touched crit yet, working on HP nodes before merciless. Then picking up all the crit. Should be done with "required" points by about 75-80. So hopefully this perma freeze I already have going on continues. I'm using the Tulborn x2 and Added Cold Damage Support to supplement the fact that my total spell damage isn't as high as a non crit build. Not really sure wtf I'm doing honestly, just winging it. But so far so good. Trying to find a way to keep mana on single targets, as of right now I'm thinking I'll try and get a heretic and use Warlords/Frostbite in it. Dunno, still figuring stuff out. Though I'll certainly need Vaal Pact and some way to leech enough to keep me in working order. With Inc AoE, those 2 curses reserve 49% each, with the veil it will be 44%, I'll have to wait and see if I can function with 12% of my total mana, if not I'll be back here asking more silly questions lmao. I'm not gonna bank on an Enlighten as a league starter. :o\ Again thanks for all the helpful input. |

" As a shadow you would be way better off going 2x Void Batteries and using Assassin ascendancy, it would be trivial to perma-freeze every non-freeze immune boss in the game. Fresh builds all day.

" I'm trying to make it a league starter. So it needs to not require super rare and insnaely expensive uni's. So yes, Void Batteries would be Ideal. But I'm not gonna bank on those either. I'll get them once I have some currency to spare. |
