Well, to be honest, it still sounds pretty awkward - for that kind of sentiment, you'd want to say "You should also level," because leveling the Curses is not really optional, it's required, whereas leveling CoH is optional.

What I care most about, though, is clarity of understanding for people, so let's just set the record straight (we both already agree on the facts, if not on the wording):

• Level of Curse on Hit has no effect on whether a CwDT + HittingSkill + CoH + Curse setup works or not
• Level of Curse must exceed required level on CwDT on a CwDT + HittingSkill + CoH + Curse setup for it to work

And part of the "no effect" part is that you can't replace point one with point two, but you are allowed to level CoH as high as you want regardless of your setup. Crystal clear now, I hope!

I do agree with this as the wording is very important with regards to the skills. In this case I knew all the mechanics involved in CWDT and COH except for point 2 in the quote, which is obvious in hindsight but didn't occur to me when I was setting it up. The wording makes it clear the skill must be under CWDT's level, but the supports can be any level, and I didn't twig that the curses will count as primary skills if below CWDT's level, and as supports (or more properly, discounted as primary skills) if above it, but that is what the wording implies. Guess many don't hit this issue as they've planned their curses and have so levelled them by the time they have CWDT. Good to have the wording here for the few like me who run into the problem by trying to plug in level 1 curses during an unplanned change in build after finding a 5 link :D
