ProjectPT Has been a constant cry baby, the numbers of players right now, (greater then ever before) says the game is getting better period. I agree it is. This would be my response to his wandering vague rants.

He bit his tonque after the announcement of trailer cause he couldnt support his thesis. He literally wont even mention anything,so no.

IF he could,he could hide in his beard from the shame.
Bye bye desync!
I don't watch streamers so I don't know what's in that link you got there, but I would say it very much depends on how you assess the quality of a game. The game has become tonnes "easier" in terms of player knowledge generating character power. In Legacy league I'm leveling one of my weakest characters ever - it feels like slogging through mud compared to my good characters - yet it still clears about 2-3 times faster than my characters in Open Beta.

Did you know Multistrike used to be a world drop only gem? At 20 chaos per exalt a Multistrike gave you 3 to 5 chaos. Unique Bosses only ever dropped like 4 rare items max, usually 0 rares and a handful of blues unless you stacked IIR and IIQ to the ceiling.

No strong boxes, no shrine swarms, no rogue exile loot pinatas, no essences, not even vaal side areas to drop you items, and worst (best?) of all no Masters to craft you affixes meant that any item that even had life and resistances were great. 70 life / 20 fire /25 cold /20 lightning? Slap it in global chat and people would drool.

Now 99.99% of rare drops are garbage because of sheer drop volume and gem drops are almost meaningless thanks to Siosa. Is that good? Is that bad? Depends on your tastes.

It's certainly becoming more complex, and as people discover their little tricks, far easier.
poe only get's better xD everyone says otherwise is a small hairy wiener xd
3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe.
performance wise? Yes, it is getting worse. I remember used to run POE fine on a 5 year old lap top, now it can't reach 30 FPS on intel i7 with GTX980m.
I mean it depends on your definition of 'better', which varies from player to player. Just because there are more players doesn't mean that the game is getting better. It might be, but it also might just be increasing in player-count because of more advertising whether it be from Twitch steams or other media. For PT, he wanted PoE to stay like it was in it's beta and early release state. Where decisions matter significantly more, where you didn't have as many broken options to face-roll content and where the game was arguably more difficult. I respect his opinion of what he wanted the game to be, but I don't respect the way he handled it all.

However, I do personally believe the game is getting a lot better in many ways. However, I also agree the game is getting a lot worse in many ways. I love the direction PoE is going overall, if you don't follow the streamers and the meta blindly you can clearly see that endgame content has only gotten better in the past few years. With the release of 6 new acts coming, that's only going to make leveling even more enticing to players which is an amazing thing to keep players going.

One of my only gripes with GGG and their direction with PoE right now is their stance on racing and PvP content. PvP is pretty much dead, GGG hasn't acknowledged it at all since Season 2 which was ages ago. Though there are many people passionate enough to keep it rolling. Racing on the other hand has turned to shit. There hasn't been hardly enough seasons in the last 2 years, which is a shame since so many players were so invested into racing.

Overall I feel like the game is getting better to me, but I can easily see how and why so many older players are feeling like it's getting worse. I think the biggest problem is the community having too many knee-jerk reactions to things such as the Xbone release.
As someone who has played since the beginning, I can say that Path of Exile has only gotten better over the years. I think the game is constantly getting better, but then again I am not getting tired of the game because I play for 8+ hours everyday like a handful of streamers and other no-lifers.
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
I take this question very serious and i can give a resounding yes when it comes to balance.
Joined the game in closed beta in early 2012 and all content was very meaningful.
Just some randome examples that come to mind:

-Hail Rake on tidal island killed alot of people. Why? Because his ice spear he used to cast would
freeze you most of the time till death if you weren't extremely careful. Same goes for Chatters
and alot of other mobs that used cold skills. Im talking about normal difficulty by the way.

-You would not enter chamber of sins before you got some solid lightning resistance (also talking about normal imagine that). Why?
Because lightning damage from all sources would shock stack.
Up to 3 stacks making you take 150% damage. I cant emphazie enough how dangerous that was. It forced you to evaluate encounters very very carefully.
You would go into vaal Oversoul bossfight and the chance of dying was very real. Getting
shock stacked and a random stone that fell from the ceiling could kill you.

I know people will say good riddence and all that but i really enjoyed the game being challenging from the very start. You simply had to care alot more for what you encountered and how you dealt with it. Risk was always lurking.
You may also say we were just unexperienced scrubs back than. I can assure you i had to play better on normal difficulty than i have to do in merciless now.
There are alot more factors. Like currency was rare back than. A really good item could not be master crafted meaning when you found a really good item it's value was inexplicable. Also there werent so many uniques that limit the space for a good rare. This made the item hunt that much more enticing.
In 1.0 the highest lvl i reached on hc was 62. Man that was a fucking achivement back than trust me.
Now i can turn my brain off till 80 easy mode.
Keep in mind these are my personal preferences and different people look for different things in their favorite software. YOu can enjoy without the validation of some random pleb on the forum, so go enjoy !
You have to remember to chase and catch your dreams, because if you don't, your imagination will live in empty spaces, and that's nowhere land.
