Using Voricci in the future because you had bad luck is throwing away even more. Don't fall for it. You'll never recoup your loss. Over time, self-fusing will level out to cost less than 1500/item. You just got to give it time.
Or not... What do I care? |

Nope... only anecdotal evidence of Chris claiming the odds were closer to 1:1200. No real evidence has been compiled because you can't trust what people are telling you and no one really cares enough about the truth to do the statistics for themselves.

My baby <3<3 Gambling sucks, but it's nice that you at least have an option to not gamble if you don't want to :) you can use Vorici but you can also just buy the item you need already in six link. It's expensive, but the reason why it's expensive is because it's so tough to get and there's a lot of risk involved if you wanna go in the gambling direction. Changing the way the system works so that you automatically get a 6 link after 1500 would make 6 links a LOT cheaper. Because that means that the MAX amount of money that you could spend on getting one is 1500 and a lot of people would get under sometimes. 6 links are supposed to be rare so I don't know if I would agree on that system... It would change a lot. In general I would usually just buy the item I need already 6 link unless the prices are messed up and I'm feeling like risking my money XD. But yeah the way that probability works, your AVERAGE amount of fusies spent over time should go down. Don't get discouraged this one time T_T! But if you hate gambling then go Vorici or buy the 6 link, whatever's cheaper! |

" Well, having a limit to "bad" RNG, like at least 3-4 times the amount of Vorici's guaranteed 1.5K fusings, wouldn't do much regarding item prices, except for making players actually try and link their own finds, as they will get there even if they are gambling addicts. And even though I spent a few thousand fusings on various occasions during these years that I played PoE, I still need to get the goddamn 6L achievement, and currently I'm slowly amassing a few thousands more to try my luck again... So how about a doubling of the chance to 6L after each 4.5/6K fusings invested in the item, and a further increase every further 1K fusings post, so no item should "eat" >10K fusings and remain without a 6L. RNG gambling =|= crafting. Fusing orbs are supposed to be "crafting", not only rolling that >1K faced die and hoping for the right outcome... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... Just buy the item 6L'd. Depending on the item, it's probably cheaper than 1500 fusings.
Fusing = ex was about 180-200. I got my 6L Vis Mortis for like 6ex. So 1200 fuse instead of 1500. But the price was more like 180 per ex when I bought it, so I got my 6L for 1080 fuse instead of 1500. What are the odds of me hitting a 6L in 1080 fuse? You see, I don't know, but I see all these topics where people use 3-5k+ fusings and not hit it, so me spending 1080 for a 6L instead of trying to RNG one seems like the best decision. " That's actually a really cool idea with the increasing probability as time goes on. But remember this too though, the probability of having to use like 7000 fusies is SO low. Like it's incredibly small, same as the probability of getting it in like 1 try is really small as well. Eventually, if you fuse like ALL the time, the probabilities should average out. But if you left the probability of getting it in 1 try the same, but changed the probability of getting it in a lot of tries, then it wouldn't average out the same way. Honestly I don't think it would impact the prices a lot if you did it that way, since both probabilities are already so low, making them lower wouldn't hurt. But there still could be someone using 10k fusies on a 6 link even if the probability of this is like 0.0000001%; IT HAPPENS :V. It's just more likely that it won't. That sucks about the achievement. Thousands of fusies D: I can't even imagine. I wish you good luck T ~ T that sounds mega painful |
