while not a terrible idea it dosent solve the reason why i think GGG whent so heavy with spike damage.

without spike damage instant leech, LGOH on high attack speed builds and lets not forget the alt f4 macro will make chars pretty much inmortals.

my take on this would be:

*say good bie to log out macro with a 3-5 secs timer
*large nerf to characters and NPC damage but make this damage proportionaly to their range and aoe, ranged aoe will get the largest nerf while single target melee the lowest
*nerf instant life leech and reconsider the numbers for life gain on hit

*replace the concept of hard counter with a strong vs "x" concept

let me expand a bit on this last subject. hard counters that can completly bypass a build main defence are horrible, defences should be strong vs certain attacks and weak vs other but never useless.

things like
every 300 armor, reduce 1 point of elemental and chaos damage taken
every "x" eva take 1% less damage from spells
chaos damage does not bypass ES, instead it does 300% increased damage to ES (shavs/lorica mod should be replaced with chaos has no increased dmage vs ES)

not really all you need is to reduce the poe healing rate, it will be just as hard.

Nerf the game healing rate by half.

*no portion recharge upon TP out.
*half the hp regen rate
*half the portion recharge rate(now you have to pick between using it or saving ur portion charges but risk getting 1 shot when u are low Hp)
*may be even nerf leach further

POE healing/ damage now is IMO broken. It is you either FULL HP or u die. About time we take look at HP healing rate. I cant think of any reason why I should save my portion charges & stay at 50% hp let it slowly regen, almost never. This is way too casual
A logout timer in an online only game is a glorious idea. /s

Seriously, Alt+F4 is not pretty but I'd hate to RIP to every internet connection break or game crash just because my char stays ingame for a few seconds longer than me.

They need to remove instant flasks.
Remove instant logout.
Remove one shot.
Make melee a heavier sustain class, giving melee skills innate life leech or something.

Now they can start balancing the game around actually playing the game instead of the logouts and shit.

Izaro's wave slash is so fucking stupid it's like 10k base damage lol even if it's telegraph'd pretty straight forward it can catch you offguard.

Its balanced that way because thats the only way you can kill these broken, hundreds/millions of DPS builds with instant leech.

Remove Instant Leech which quite frankly shouldnt exist, then balance from there. Its funny because they nerfed leech prior but left VP as is, leech wasnt broken before that, only VP was broken and it still is broken.

Telegraphed oneshots are fine, but theres soo many things that were left unbalanced. For example, they never balanced melee around the loss of max resistances which is the biggest reason why melee struggles, they cant deal with extra damage elemental mods like they used to.
Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

"But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years.
We need better game design here. Monsters should have more ehp compared to player´s damage output, life regen, better AI, speed or other interesting mechanica (such as Izaro or Piety fight) rather than being able to 1 shot well-armored char.

I strongly disagree about Uber-Izaro. My Slayer CAN facetank him, even without touching his "additional flavour things in 1-st and 2-nd phased. He managed to kill me (oneshot) only with all Essences AND full charges from Conduits!!! But you dont have to stack full charges, just a half of charges in enough to get +1 key. If i was smarter and stacked just half of charges there, i'd survived.
So, dont say Izaro in Uber lab oneshots. He doesnt, if your character is tough enough.
