So for people asking whether to go Berserker or Chieftain. I did some PoBing and the highest DPS i got out of Berserker was about 1.1 mil (times 3?)
The number should be a little lower unless you want to spam Enduring Cry for 20 seconds before the bossfight.

When i tried it for the chieftain, the highest number i got was about 540k (580 if i used silver flask instead of ruby flask, but i needed the ruby to make wise oak usable). Pob doesn't count the extra 70% as fire, but even if it had 100% uptime, it would still be inferior to Berserker.

That is with GG standard gear so don't take those numbers too seriously.

I am not really experienced with PoB, so i might have missed something.

The next season will be my first season in POE and i want to plan ahead asmuch as possible

a) this guide is already finally updated
b) it got buffed (the rage buffs) and a bit changed/nerfed (rage adds degen). but they also made chieftain great again, so its a realy cool 2. choice now imho

if you had read carefully you had noticed its not all copy pasted -.-" and hatred gives still 70k with avatar of fire. so its still a realy good aura choice

In my opinion Berserker will get a little bid more hektik and u have to kite a bid more. But you also have higher damage. The chieftain variant should be a little bid more safe and more relaxed to play due to taunt on totems and that totems will leech life for you.
Even with PoB not fully updated it is quite obvious that both versions will have no problem with damage.
Even both low budget variants without gg gems but only decent ones have above 1 million DPS vs shaper (totems combined not single totem dps).
So in my opinion if u like a more active and overall faster gameplay i recommend zerker.
If u are, like me, a tad older and like your safety go for chieftain. It is not zoom zoom and not really action oriented, but hey if u don't like totems and their playstyle neither zerker nor chief will make u happy.

Why would you not go scion now? You can get 4 totems and taunt or 4 totems and leech, or you can go 3 totems and both leech and taunt. You can even go 3 totems and leech with the slayer node for overleech past full health along with culling and aoe
