It's called the beginning of the league. If you want to see a speed run of the game, go watch one of the top streamers like Havoc tomorrow. All the streamers/racers will be speedrunning the game to get to lv100 as fast as possible.

FYI racers can get to maps in like 2.5-3 hours.

This makes me so sad when i need 6-7 hours to get to mapping :/.. act4, and dem tedious ascendancy trials made it much worse.. even with the removal of some of the backtracking from act 2.. like seriously why the hell am I forced to go out of my way and waste time to look for a mini labyrinth that takes 1 minute to complete, and is no challenge, and has no rewards.

Records are (afaik) around 17 mins for a1, 39 mins for a2, donno about a3, 120 mins for the entire norm
That's skipping optional quests ofc

I know racing and a speedrun isnt the same, but since racing allready exist in PoE i doubt many ppl would even slightly interessted in a speedrun.

So PoE is not the "right" Game for it. Even when its possible, its just something similar allready exist.

Like someone already said, poe is not speed run because it's an always evolving game.

It poeple take 1 year fo optimise their run, it would be obsolete before being even finished, so that's not very engaging.

And that's where the races come in. They fill the competitive pve demand in a different manner.

Real speedruns will only be possible when the game is dead and the devs give out the server code to the community.
