Cold to Fire Conversion

If you have to path towards Avatar of Fire, then the Ring is superior, if you're already in the area then I'd say that the Gem+AoF are superior.

This is assuming all your skills are Cold or Fire though, since AoF prevents other damage types.

Makes sense

Tree

i am allready in that area but with 2 skillpoints i could get lets just say 15% increased elemental damage instead and and instead of cold to fire i could use a controlled destruction gem (~40% dmg increase)

It comes down to the alternatives there are for ringslots it seems. Pyre stats arent too bad but it is quite possible getting a ring with more resists and a liferoll. Offensivewise it may be worse.

+(20 to 30)% to Cold Resistance
+(25 to 35)% to Fire Resistance
(25 to 35)% increased Burning Damage
100% of Cold Damage Converted to Fire Damage
10% increased Light Radius
Ignited enemies you hit are destroyed on Kill#

Thank you for your feedback so far!

Controlled Destruction grants roughly 11% More Damage compared to Cold to Fire, slightly better if you have flat Damage bonuses, slightly worse if your Skill has >5% Crit Chance. It's okay.

Rings can get you similar amounts of Resists, actually Life, and also Cast Speed (tree has 11%, so that's pretty useful imo). You'd lose the Burn Damage modifier, which costs you around 10% Ignite damage or so. You're still not a Crit nor Curse build so Ignites aren't strong regardless.

Personally, I'd probably spend the two points (thematic points), but it's not a big difference.

(two points could get you 6% Cast Speed, 3% Movespeed, 20 Dex; Precision node at Templar zone)
