gets too difficult

I know waa waa waa cry baby but it gets annoying. I get killed all day at work, I just want to come home and "relax" with a nice rpg that has good gameplay and storyline. I don't have patience for a game that is overly challenging. I just want to enjoy the gameplay and story retire to bed to get ready for the real world again. There is nothing fun about dying or clicking non stop to try to avoid death and then still die. I don't see the fun in that. I mastered games like Diablo 2 and Nox. I could go through standard difficulty on either of the games and other than bosses like Diablo or Mephisto I never died. I would play to have fun and relax and enjoy the gameplay. This dying crap gets boring real fast and I stop playing. Peace out guys and yeah I know WAA WAA WAA but it doesn't make the game any more enjoyable.

So is your complaint about the difficulty in normal difficulty? You say you get through standard difficulty in other games no problem. If you're dying so much in normal difficulty in this game you may need to adjust your builds. I play pretty carelessly and I usually don't have my first death until act 4.

If your problem is Perandus mobs in the low levels, then I agree that they are too hard. They could probably be toned down some in the first 2 acts. By act 3 though you should be strong enough that they aren't so dangerous. But outside of those monsters, the rest aren't that hard.

So what exactly are you dying to? Maybe post your build for pointers. It might just be that you need more life.

there are a few tricks you can use to make most of the game much easier, if only you'd ask

for example death's harp + drillneck is a pretty simple, low budget way, in this league at least, to tear it up with EK. Easily get a safe caster who can do 30k+ from a distance

once you find these little tricks you can base other builds off of the essential interactions and play something new that also inherits the effectiveness of what you had been playing before
Not a game for you I don't think, there's others out there though. Good luck.

Read a build guide, trade for some items, problem solved.

Honestly, I find this game too easy (especially T8-11 maps) rather than too hard.

Just keep playing until you get better at not dying. POE is a ridiculously complex game. Odds are you'll never learn how everything works even if you play for thousands of hours. There's just too much stuff with too many weird interactions.

What you need to do now is find out what's killing you. You have your characters set to private, so I'll just guess that it's the usual three things: you have terrible gear, you have a terrible passive tree, and you're playing very badly.

The first problem can be solved by learning what to look for in gear. Most important are links. By the end of act 4, you want to have a 4-link setup for your main skill at the very least. The gems you have linked should be good gems. Don't use stuff like Blind, Knockback, and Chance to Flee. Use things that add damage.

After links, you want life and resists. Try to get your resists as close to 75% as possible. That prevents a massive amount of damage. Aim for about 300 life per act at the minimum. At the point you are right now, you should have at least 1200 life. You can get by without that much life if you really know what you're doing, but you're still a beginner. Get the life.

The second problem can be solved by making a new character. POE has a respec system, but you're so early in the game that it's going to be much better to just restart from scratch if your passive tree's garbage. You should have a reasonable combination of life and damage nodes by this point.

The third problem can be solved by playing more POE. Pretty much everybody sucks when they start playing the game. You don't know what to watch out for, you don't know which monsters to skip (Triskeriaki is still an overtuned joke), and so on. Not knowing these things make the game massively more difficult than it otherwise would be.

I barely remember when I first started playing, but I do remember dying an absolutely absurd number of times. I didn't know how resists worked, I didn't know how important life was, and couldn't kite to save my life (literally. my /deaths was probably in the quadruple digits). Now I don't die in normal difficulty. I even set dumb limitations on myself just to make the game more difficult sometimes. You'll get there, too. Just persevere until you figure out what POE requires you to do to stay alive.
It is likely that you don't have enough defenses, as this is a common mistake for newer players to the game (and literally took me two years to stop doing). While many other games you can get away with total glass cannon, even a glass cannon in Path of Exile should have 140%+ life from the tree and some flat life from gear.

There are a lot of build guides on the forum; checking one out and following it for a skill you want to center your build around is a good start and will help ensure you get an appropriate balance of defense and offense, give a more optimized skill tree, and go over what gear and gems work well for the build.

You'll also need to make sure you have enough resists: each difficulty (Cruel, Merciless) further reduces your total resistances. You probably want 30%+ resistances while leveling and 75%+ resistances for end-game maps; if you have the base resistances of -60% in late Merciless/maps you'll be taking over 6x the normally expected elemental damage.

There's also just learning what situations are dangerous (which will vary by build), and how you can work around those cases with skills, flasks, and positioning. That comes with just experience from playing, though.

If you make your Character info public people could better help determine what specific problems your character has. You can do this by going to your account page on the forum (by clicking your account name in the far upper left), clicking "Privacy Settings" on the right, and then unchecking the "Hide Characters Tab" option.

The main difference between PoE and the other games in the group is that your character level in PoE plays a much smaller role in things like damage calculation and character power. Your level allows for gems to level up, which can make them more powerful, and provides passive points, but it doesn't directly affect combat. So, in other games where you would simply be told "level up a bit", here that advice doesn't really come up.

You need better gear.

You need better passive skills.

Character level only works into allowing these to get better.

Trade for gear at a higher level than you can find, or start a new character and twink it with gear that your current character can find. Once you get over that "bump" in the progress, start saving gear that other characters can use to get over that bump.
This isn't your game then.

If this your advice, then i can imagine why so many new players left the game after start.

I mean sure to veterans and no lifers game pretty easy (sure, 90 lvl at best and playing on anything but nonHC and pure meta builds... easy they said)

Trading and buy leveling gear you said? - SURE newbies that dont know how preperly use sockets for place and connect skills with support gems would do it and knew about it, sure we got such intuitive mechanic (no)

Defense you said? How the heck anyone would get that info? Suuuure we have such a good and great tutorials IN GAME and special that even veterans knew how stupid bad armour and evasion works (so many threads and in global chat talk about it and nothing changed). And if newbie play solo (most of time) he cant find gear with: life+resist+armour/evasion as it never drop.

Also dont forget about requires level and stats like STR/DEX/INT, how the heck new get it from? As i said we have such a beautiful and well done tutorial system in game... eh dream.

Situations are dangerous to your build - even veterans some time missed something, new players NEVER will get it, never. In game we got NO explanation what magic and rare and torm spirits do and what each mod do, for example Bearers, corruption, E.T.C. WTF IS THAT? Where new player get that info in game?

Skills, flask, positioning and other stuff even Havoc as pretty good player cant predict and prepare, what about new players? This is last level for most hard core players (pros) and even they cant do it always.

I just saying stop judge and gave useless advice to players where developers doing everything to make impossible new players join and play their game. I think this is not new players fault, its developers fault to not help at all new players and making pretty not intuitive and easy mechanic and hard hitting monsters and not explain anything at all.

Sure, if waste few weeks on reading all reddit, wiki, forum, global, watch tonne youtube vids, test yourself few builds and fail, then repeat all this again and understand a little little bit, then you can start to play the game until maps. But is it worth it? Who knows.
