" You could make your own interesting build if possible and comment on that. I think it would be great if this game had several variations of builds not just one 'best' build for each class like you see in most ARPGs. |

fwiw iron reflexes works great on a bow ranger in HC.
one possible tactic i used often was to allow myself to draw aggro/get surrounded then spam rain of arrows on myself. i died at 59, but was to me being lazy and not seeing a phys reflect while i was farming using high rpm split arrow, otherwise the build went very well imo. being a bow ranger =/= you are ranged and therefore hit less. sure 99% of bow rangers my play on the outside but tis very viable to build/play in multiple ways with a bow. ~SotW HC Guild~

I already invested all my points to get to Bow Knockback. Maybe not the best idea, I don't know - the tree is overwhelming. What should I focus on next to have a good chance at soloing harder difficulties? Or knockback is not viable option and I need to create a new char?

" Knockback on bowazons is generally pretty amazing. It's a fine first target imo, i even considered starting with that. I would recommend the Pierce cluster, and Iron Reflexes (on HC) as 2 other prime targets. I'm new to Rangers in this game tho. The thing about knockback is that it works only on crits and crits are 5% on bows (is it still that at higher level drops?) so its hard to get it over 10% mark. Which means 1 out of 10 arrows will knock back enemy which is equivalent to average 10% damage increase and 10% chance to get enemy to skip a melee attack, which does not seem to be worth it. More if this skill knocks back far enough to get more than 1 extra arrow in before enemy closes the distance, anybody have data on that?

" You may be correct, but I believe there are a lot of bows that add a % critical chance in their mods. You can also look for other items that add a % critical chance if you are looking to go for knockback and critical hits. Once you stack it high enough it may pay off.
