How does one become a Mod?

i would be very interested in helping out through my gaming day which is from 10 to 10 NZT most days.

In my experience, on most games, sites, and communities, asking seems to be the quickest way to make sure you never get to help. Not sure why that is. But I hope that if your interests are pure that you get your chance and serve well. Best of luck.

Be friendly, be helpful, obey the rules and generally do your best to make the community a nice place. ;) Even if you don't get asked to be a mod, you'll still be on the fast track to being a recognised and well-respected member of the community, which is never a bad thing to be!

GGG does add more community moderators occasionally if they feel that they need more. At that point they would look over your posting record and if they felt you were a good candidate they would contact you directly.

You apparently need to fish up some special orb that grants moderator access.

The reason is probably because more often then not, the people who ask for any sort of position like that usually want it for all the wrong reasons.
