How can I get Chaos resistance?

I've seen one node giving 16% between the witch and shadow, but haven't seen much more. Chaos resistance can spawn, albeit rarely, on certain armor pieces, no? I'm struggling a bit , any tips appreciated, thank you.

Currently just try to aim for it on as much armor as possible, there isn't enough of it on the passive tree, which is a problem IMHO (There is a -60 penalty and only 40 anywhere on the tree)

Right below that +16 there is a +8 about 3 nodes south, but unless you're already in that section of the tree, you're better off stacking some of it on armor, even if it's a rare affix.

The merciless and cruel penalties make no sense, most of all to chaos damage.

I've seen 1 x 16% chaos immunity near CI, and 3 other 8%s spread out all over the place (one is actually near the 16% and CI).

Its pretty much impossible to reach all of the chaos resistance nodes, and if you try you would be severely gimping your character. I'm really not sure how you can get from -60 to +75 from gear alone.

I don't even like the elemental resistance penalties, but at least those are easier to overcome.

Your gear would -have- to be explicitly specced to do such. +75% is only reachable if you access at least the 16% chaos node, and then have 4 pieces of gear that roll +30% chaos resistances.

The highest level chaos resistance affix starts spawning at level 55, with a value range of 26-30. So 30% is the highest possible chaos resistance per item in the game, assuming POE's database is correct.

Only iLvl65 items and above can spawn with +30% Chaos Resistance.

I have -60% chaos resistance....

Dodge Chaos attacks as much as possible. Most of them are ranged attacks, keep moving while trying to kill the mobs.
But yeah, Stacking HP is usually a good solution against the lack of Chaos Resis.

BTW, I could get +16% Chaos Resis with 2 skill points (2 x 8%, my paths are touching them) and yet I'm not sure about getting them (and probably won't). Anyone else feels the same?
I honestly think they should increase them from 8% to 10% and from 16% to 20%.
Then again, that 16% is kinda a mockery since is in the area visited mostly for those who are looking for Chaos Inoculation >_< XD
