Added Cold Damage vs Cold Penetration
" Who's to say he completed them with a freeze pulser? I've made 3 or 4 different types of FP builds over the years, it's a skill that has a LOT of competition for support gems, faster projectiles really isn't worth it. Also

Got that character to 95 in ambush. Played around with tons of support combos, this ended up being my favorite though I don't know if crit multi is still worth it since the nerf. IGN: Smegmazoid

I am thinking freezing pulse at 20quality would be enough for projectile speed at 60 I do not want to waste a gem slot on projectile speed I see more benefit from other gems and at 20q I think it gives enough of a distance but I will have to test it out. Life leach is the one I am not sure about yet, it will help with health and leech some damage but not sure if its worth it

Life leech gem is worthwhile if you're taking vaal pact (or acuity), otherwise I would just go with a doryani belt and/or scepter. Without VP, the amount you can leech is really neutered on FP. You wouldn't really gain much extra leech between 2% from doryani stuff and 9% from the gem with any reasonable amount of damage.

I think LL is worthwhile unless you want some reflect issues, 20% is enough on FP unless your damage sucks.

1.) If you're going to support Herald of Ice with anything besides reduced mana, consider increased AoE (helps combo to AoE clear way better).
2.) If you're having issues with reflect with FP, you can either socket Cold to Fire or use the Pyre Ring, and then run Arctic Armor (aka the Flame Pulse). You won't get as long freezes but the damage and reduction in reflected damage can get pretty silly. Theorycrafter/Build Creator for PORTAL guild

Already been stated but the general rule is penetration beats added cold in the areas that count the most. 0% resist mobs already die pretty much instantly, so there's no point in boosting dps against them. Run into a 75% resist hexproof mob however, and he will be a very noticeable roadblock. If its a dangerous mob, the extra time you spend kiting him and avoiding his attacks add to the danger.
