Heralds + Curse on Hit doesent work

HoA prolif doesn't hit, it applies a burn. No hit = no curse on hit.

HoI shatter burst hits, but you have to be killing frozen enemies.
HoT lightning strikes hit, but you have to be killing shocked enemies.

HoA doesn't "hit" it just starts burning things, you either need to use ice or thunder to get the curse proc, and in order to get those you need to kill a frozen/shocked enemy. So you either need to crit, which you can't, or have the 5% chance you have from the passive tree trigger, which isn't a lot if you don't attack fast.

Your best bet is lightning as that proc have a bigger radius, and stays up for a while.

Edit: Pneuma beat me to the ash doesn't hit part. That's what I get for having to hide the fact I'm not working from my boss.

I stand corrected. Didn't know that the HoA explosion didn't hit.

At any rate, as previously noted the 4 gems indicated don't have any curse linked, but I guess that doesn't matter since HoA can't apply a curse anyway.

Well heres a way to get the desired effect, grab celestial punishment for an extra 5% chance to proc statsu ailments, use Rashkaldor's Patience for another 5% (you can also use the taming for another 5% if you have one, otherwise this will be enough cause taming is too expensive)


now slap on physical to lightning support gem on your cyclone

use herald of thunder-curse on hit-curse-reduced mana, and bam you got curse on hit because you will be shocking enemies, and killing shocked enemies procs HoT

cyclone will proc the shock very easily, and you also gain a pretty huge damage boost from this shock

As for the other links, Cyclone-MPD-WED-Phys to light-BM-LGOH/ADF/AoE whichever you like works, id go for lgoh though

are you sure you actually proc the herald (ice/lightning) effect?

I made a post a while back about herald of ice and curse on hit interaction (or the lack thereof), and I got a dev response saying it was bugged.
Stick with herald of thunder.

Had to switch accounts to find it, sorry.

Herald of ice does not work with curse on hit due to technical limitations of how it was implemented.
Herald of thunder will work for you though
