Please Change Viper Strike!

VS is now finally a very good bosskiller in my eyes.

tw server -> merciless vaal came up -> bambambam (2.0 asp weapon) -> 8 stacks -> vaal dead!

so i would say a good a good farming skill now....remember it has the same colour with double strike. so just swap out your other dex/str based gem with your high attack speed build on the boss and all is fine.

i mean those dot notes are anyways close to the shadow/ranger area so taking them is not costing you too much skillpoints.

im happy with the changes....



Charan you cant use slow and effective in the same sentence. More like slow and tanky/safe or something along those lines.


Also its also affected by ele dmg now, so you can do a crit dagger, ele auras viper striker that does crazy damage.

Except why bother. Just go Elemental Hit / Spectral Throw / Double Strike / etc. for that matter. What's the point in this skill having a DoT component, if you're just going to spam it like an idiot as with every other skill.
I think that rogue exile with viper strike is the one that will benefit the most out of this lol

Doesn't the Herald of Ash buff grants an explosion about death that's equal to the amount of overkill damage? This very much sounds like something you'll want to scale with pure damage instead of IAS.

I can and I did. Deal with it.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
The biggest problem about this new Viper strike is that it makes all non-CI builds non-viable in PvP. Even with 75% Chaos res this skill is going to DESTROY everyone within seconds. IT def needs a rework. Or a nerf in PvP.

Well, you would have to get a hit in first that actually applies the DoT.

And then all your Armour and Resistences would reduce the initial hit and your Chaos resist reduces the Damage of the DoT (That is already lower because the initial hit got reduced).

i dont know if you can heal it like bleeding via flasks, but if you can you're lost.
and because its a melee close range skill, i dont see a problem with it.

some builds arent made for pvp - thats set.
every poison arrow build does zero dps vs CI, but does insane pve dmg ;-)

stun and knockback will own pvp ^^
you wont even come near a dual shockwave totem enemy with a melee viper build :P
