GGG how you can make more money

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for more MTX.

As to other people off topic or etc... Welcome to the Internet.

When the Verdant set came out, I, too suggested a more female version, especially for the helmet. I can totally see a Marauder carrying half a moose on his head but it looks overly heavy on female characters. Had there been a female version, like e.g. an adapted Necromancer Circlet, it would have been a must-have. When I saw the new supporter packs, I had the same feeling. I didn't get to play much in the last days so I've yet to see the sets ingame but from what it looks like on the website here, I'll probably pass on this round of packs, too. :-(<< quote

I fully agree, would also like my female chars to look more feminine.

There is a huge amount of leeway between "looks like a small male" and "sex kitten look", but I guess some of the posters in this thread do not know that. I cannot believe the stupidity and blatant sexism in some of the posts (from a usual suspect, of course) higher up...<< quote

For the benefit of pictures, the only game I can immediately think of that does well-armored women who still look like women is Warhammer 40k. So with that in mind...

I'm NOT against more armor types for female characters, but I will say that it seems there a very fine line (a subjective line at that) between what could be construed as "sexy".

Would it be "too sexy" to show any skin? Most of the armor in fantasy games I've seen that aren't over the top usually look like male armor, but less bulky, with chest pieces that look like metal brassiers.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is with sexier armor for female characters - there are topless female human/monster mutants (albeiet with tentacles) shooting at you.

What about more femine armor sets like dresses? Who wouldn't want to see the templar running around with a dress? :D

But seriously, the new armors do indeed look a bit odd sometimes on some chars, including the female ones.
interesting fact:

we live in a sexist world.

during medieval period, when armours were actually used, they were designed, built, and paid, by men, for men.

ok ok ok this is a game. but no. in battle there's no space for femininity.

"but this is a game!!! i want to see better bouncing breasts!"

oh come on! just slay some monsters and pick up the loot man! :)

"but i want to spend my money in feminine armours!"

ah ok then; well, whenever i see threads like this (by like this i mean "can you please change or add this feature that i really would like to see but probably nobody else would care about?") i always remember that GGG in forums doesn't even allow free avatars, you have to select it between those offered; why that? because they have a precise idea of what they want, and how to make it.
So, i belive that they are against femininity in armours. Gawd, the two words just don't fit togheter; if they had no problems in this kind of things, they would add the chance for the comunity to build the meshes of micro transactions decorations like in other games like Dota2 or CS:GO.

So then, this becomes more interesting for me; will ever spawn out a workshop where players can edit and upload models for micro transactions with softwares like Rhino, 3DStudio, Cinema, Blender, and then if well voted by the comunity be added the shop list? :)

In armor women are supposed to look indistinguishable from men. There are many historical accounts of women donning armor in battle without being recognized as female until they removed their helmet and showed their face. Armor that "shows skin" is absolutely ridiculous. Reminds me of this video: http://youtu.be/OTGh0EMmMC8

Properly fitted armor would show a slighter frame and possibly (depending on kind of armor) the presence of a bust or hips.

Course platemail looks about the same on everyone.

Oh yeah "my female friend" told me she wants her characters to be more sexy.
Good try buddy!

I do hope we see more different types of armor sets than just heavy looking armor. Caster robes, tight ninjaish outfits, leather armor, etc.
Just remember that everything they make for the women you're gonna have to see the Templar wearing too....
When I kill a man he stays dead.
Just so I am clear about what the OP would like ( and the referenced female friend ). The goal isn't to sexualize, or make armor types look ridiculously impractical ( the type of armor that is more skin than armor ). Rather, what she and she would like is armors that look like they are fitted to the frame of the wearer a bit better.

I think I can get behind that. However, keep in mind that the witch has a very slight frame, so anything she wears will not be all that 'feminine', but rather a sort of overly skinny design.

The ranger doesn't have the exaggerated curves that really lend themselves to a distinctively feminine look while in armor. Only thing I could think of is to make a bit more emphasis in shape of breastplates. For men they are flatter and broad. For the ranger, they would be more slender in the chest, with a bit more rounding in the bust. Not larger mind you, just shaped different.

The scion is the only one of the three who seems to lend her body type over to a very specific feminine look. I don't know a man alive who has the slender waist leading to the large curvy hips like the scion seems to. It is a uniquely feminine shape. Combine this with a slightly more form fitting look around the breasts, and she would look okay I guess.

There is a fine line though. What is fitting, and what is exaggerated to exploit sexuality?
