GGG how you can make more money
I think your missing a great opportunity with you supporter packs. Don't get me wrong, I just got the Master pack to add to my 3 previous packs, and love the new armors. But your missing a segment of you marker, woman gamers. From my experience women tend to spend much more on cosmetic items, they love to customize there characters.
My woman friend, who has also purchased 3 previous packs, as well as a number of point packs, now refuses to spend another penny on POE. Why, because no matter how cool the armor, it is all really for the male characters, in her words "it just makes the females look like small males". The same has been true for al of the cosmetic armor except for the Serph set which she bought. So may I suggest you do 1-2 more supporter packs with cosmetics primarily for the female characters, not sure how many women play POE but wouldn't be surprise if packs like that would sell very well. At least roll out one, if it sells well roll out a second, and give those that bought the first the ability to upgrade, and so on. PS: I also play Firefall, and after seeing how many males play the female characters there by choice, its possible a large number of males would also buy the packs. It doesnt make them look male, it makes them look realistically armored. Female body armor in other games is sexist and not practical, if they look more manly because of the armor effects, its at least a bit more realistic.

My point, there are a lot of women that want their characters to be more female, its not what you want or think its what they want, and GGG is missing an opportunity to make money by not giving them something to spend money on.
I didn't mention above that my woman friend will not play the male characters, she is a female, wants to play female characters, that look like females, not sex kittens. Dernière édition par GhostPain#3823, le 9 août 2014 à 11:06:31

" A bit more realistic? How many times have I heard this line as a female gamer. Yeah because everything is so real about PoE and games, it's so real life. Because yeah, every day in real life I get to use my arctic armour and glacier cascade to wipe out monsters and save the day. Ok? It's a bunch a bunk. I play only the female characters in PoE because that is what I -me, myself and I- like, and what I am comfortable playing in PoE, and in every game I've played over years of playing games. I like looking like a female and want that, or I'd play males. I take much exception to you equating wanting to just look like a female in a game because I am one, to it being an outright sexist thing. That's just sexist in itself to suggest that me simply wanting to look like the female character even in armour is wrong. Who is saying ANYTHING about wanting to look sexy?? I've been playing PoE going on three years, the Ranger and Witch look female without looking "overtly sexy" and I was finally excited to see a third female character the Scion come in who looks very much a female with a great look that does not denote "sex" in anyway. She is fully clothed, no skin showing, and looks like she can kicks some ass as a girl. Why give me three female characters that when done applying armour will just look like every other male character running around in game, only just SMALLER-?. Really GGG?? Is this the best you can do? I know its not, because look what you've already created--NON-SEXY looking females. So you can create armour I would want to pay for with my very real money, but that isn't "revealing" or "sexy" and that doesn't cover me head to foot with masses of metal armour and make me unrecognizable. I've spend a lot of money on this game in almost 3 years, buy points regularly, and was looking forward to maybe spending more to support GGG with the new Masters storyline. But nope not this time, I couldn't be more disappointed in my choices because really there are none for females like me who want that. And once again, let me say, this is NOT about looking like sex, geez. ~レαєレαє~ *character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you* Dernière édition par laelae#7439, le 9 août 2014 à 12:30:30

New MTX's: "Tassels", "Whale Tail", "Birthday"
Your welcome. |

" You forgot: Boob Job, Butt Implants and spray tan for female chars. |

" Can you please clarify, what you would expect females to look like in the same armour then. If you could also indicate what type of MTX's would appeal to female but yet also still be appealing to male characters. If you note the MTX's are usually unisex, so that any character can use them without feeling they need to be sex specific. Dernière édition par TwistedTrip#5344, le 9 août 2014 à 17:15:17

When the Verdant set came out, I, too suggested a more female version, especially for the helmet. I can totally see a Marauder carrying half a moose on his head but it looks overly heavy on female characters. Had there been a female version, like e.g. an adapted Necromancer Circlet, it would have been a must-have. When I saw the new supporter packs, I had the same feeling. I didn't get to play much in the last days so I've yet to see the sets ingame but from what it looks like on the website here, I'll probably pass on this round of packs, too. :-(

I fully agree, would also like my female chars to look more feminine.
There is a huge amount of leeway between "looks like a small male" and "sex kitten look", but I guess some of the posters in this thread do not know that. I cannot believe the stupidity and blatant sexism in some of the posts (from a usual suspect, of course) higher up... May your maps be bountiful, exile
