Character Wipe when Open Beta ends?

"Never" is the keyword! ;-)
Been around since May of 2012 in Closed Beta if they say something they do it. Besides if they were using that paragraph to later hide a character wipe they were gonna do. They can kiss this game goodbye wiping again after saying they wont R.I.P. PoE.

I did not miss that.

I'm asking about end of open beta. Will PoE be endless Beta?

Then you must not have read the front page of the website correctly, because if you had then you'd know the answer to this question.

well, you guys sound rather certain about that quote. For me that paragraphh sounds a bit like this exclusion of character wipes is linked to the Open Beta and not to all time.

/facepalm

If you find that message on the front page unconvincing, then I honestly cannot imagine why you would bother asking on the forums, surely nothing that other players say to you is going to be more convincing??

Because I certainly did not see all announcements in all communication channels GGG uses and others might have.

Do people not read? Or did you struggle with reading comprehension in elementary school? Read their front page, where it says in big bold blue letters: NO MORE CHARACTER WIPES.

That means, (you guessed it)...no more character wipes.

The number of messages has nothing to do with whether the content is true or not. The homepage is as official as it gets and therefore answers the question. No other channels needed. ;-) :-D

Edit: For more up-to-date information and following the latest developments, the Announcements Forum is always a good place to start. :-)

OK, so I checked most of the announcements and didnt find a clear answer to this. It's a free to play game and I have to admit the first I find interesting enough to play longer than Minesweeper. So how does this work with Open Beta?
Will there ever be a final version? Will some GGG guy make an announcement some day and say 'You may no longer call this Beta, but continue to do w/e you did before.' and that's it? Or will every Character be wiped at some point?
Since my gaming time is limited and the skill tree system is also rather unforgiving, I do not want to invest all my time into stuff that gets erased in a couple of months.
Anyone an idea?

Am I the only one who agrees with the writer of this post?
Never might mean 'Never in the context of this open beta'
