Duelist with bows?
According with the Duelist description: "His powerful arms can draw the strings of the heaviest and most lethal longbows."

Very viable. And its easier to outfit them with higher armor%, which is nice. Honestly the character classes are very versatile, experimenting is going to keep people playing for a long time I think. ;)

I cannot wait to be able to play with a duelist. I LOVE ranged weapons but hate using girl characters in many games that use girls as the ranged characters which is something I never got used to.

normally with what i read, you can shape your character in the way you want.

Quoting the Beta Manifesto: "Passive Skill Tree We intend to experiment with having each character class start at their own position in the tree (with a complete redesign so that these starting areas are appropriate, of course). This will further reinforce character identity while still allowing players to “splash” off-attribute skills by exploring the tree in that direction. More information on these changes will be made available as make progress on this. This update should be available in the medium term." "Class Identity, Attributes and Requirements Class identity is an area of the game that is of great importance to us currently. We are going to devote serious resources towards making the classes feel more distinct while still encouraging people to experiment with cross-class builds and versatile skill/item choices. The aforementioned change to the passive skill tree (each class starting at a distinct location) will help create a different early-game for each class. We’re probably going to further differentiate the classes with specific base stats that affect their starting abilities in certain areas. For example, Witches will cast faster than other classes by default. maybe i was too exited than i missed this... Class identity is an area of the game that is of great importance to us currently. It doesn't appear to say that a melee witch is not possible. It just indicates that she will not be purely melee. She is a witch after all with latent magical abilities. How would her witch parents feel if their daughter became a brute instead of a nice wholesome witch? =D
You might be right though. The witch starting position in the tree might be too far from the skills you expected to use. Lets hope they consider than when designing the new skill tree. |

I made a melee witch a while back, she did great early on. Didnt have any trouble picking up melee passives either. I dont know how viable she would be later on in the game though. hmmmmmm After the new patch comes out I'll try another war witch, just to see.
