Open PVP League

... Please someone explain to me a few things.....
I have been waiting for this game to come into he open Beta since the failure of Diablo 3.... The main thing, which is a deal breaker for me, is the open PVP hardcore cut-throat league... The game finally hits the open beta, I cannot see the cut-throat league in the options when I create my character... Then someone tells me that the cut-throat will only be a temporarly league, perhaps a long term one, but still a temporarly... and the only way to PVP at this point is thru the act 2 quest.... Please confirm or deny this, if that information is correct, this is just another carebear, please it all, type a game, which is not for me.. I know at a later date (just like diablo 3) there will be some arenas available... But will there be ( in the recentt future) or is there now, a league, or a way to just open world PVP??? Please answer me with w/e details you have... | |
" Last I heard, you can buy your own leagues sometime, which you can open to whoever you want, and it can have whatever rules youw ant |

well, my qiestion was about a general, accecible for all legue or a way to pvp...

Note that I have an extremely limited knowledge of pvp but this is what I've gathered from my time on the forum.
1) Cutthroat league (open PVP, drop equipment on death) is an event league. It is therefore temporary and not always open. 2) You can join PVP as long as you're under level 28 and haven't entered cruel (?). After that you'll have to wait until you get to the final difficulty to PVP again. 3) The bandit quest used to be the only place you could PVP. That has changed. Anyway, hopefully someone can correct me in any places I'm wrong. I haven't played in at least 2-3 months (around when the PVP patch was introduced) because of the incoming character wipes, but I have been reading the forums somewhat. |

They said at different occasions, that they will make cut throat leagues as temporary events. I believe, Chris mentioned something about a permanent league as well in an interview. As far as i remember, he said, that they aren't quite sure how to set the rules to make it fun and challenging for veterans and new players at the same time. (correct me if i'm wrong)

Quoting from memory, but IIRC, permanent CT leagues are just not viable atm. The come with plenty of issues (ganking, equipment imbalance, etc) that do not make them viable as a long term league - it would simply become desolate very, very fast.
Short term and Custom CT leagues seem to be the way to go (at least for now), along with the usual 1v1 and 3v3 PvP modes. |

Well, I guess its another crap game that favors carebearing and attempt to please all players at once...
shame realy.. had high hopes for Path Of Exile... They marketed it as quite different from what it really is... I mean how hard was it to instal a hostile button, which made the Diablo 2 so succesfull.. After all suppose to be a d2 clone... w/e, back to EVE online.. but yeah,.. really shame...
