Error: could not resolve host name while downloading

Been trying to dl this for 5 hours.
1st time, about 2 hours into the dl and around 30%, didn't see exactly. It gave me this error. Then exited out and I had to restart the dl. Now, at 36% and over 2 hours into it, I get this same error again. Shame, I really wanted to play this. Guess I can't. Disappointing. Rampage IGN: RIP_Stannis_Baratheon

I guess I'll try dl'ing it a 3rd time. Going on 6 hours now trying to get this game.
It's pretty frustrating, very bad first impression. You should consider caring enough to respond. If this speaks to how the game is played out, I'm probably better off not being able to dl this. Rampage IGN: RIP_Stannis_Baratheon

Now I'm reading that it saves progress and doesn't actually start over after this error.

ya, I just noticed that it says 5.1 GB now. Before it was 4.2

Very sorry, we have a small team and a lot of customers and are working on responding to issues as quickly as we can - unfortunately we can't do everything at once. The patcher, as you say, will restart from where it left off.
If you're finding the process too frustrating for now, you could always come back once the rush has died down, and get much improved download speed for redownloading it. Or if you know someone irl who's getting the game, you can copy the content.ggpk file from them, which is almost all of the stuff downloaded from the patcher. LOL this guy.... I'm surprised he has not offed himself. hes one of them younger "i want everything now" kids... Id say that 1 hour is pretty fucking good, you ever sent something in to another company? they normally take DAYS to respond.
Personally I would ban his account.... But yes I have this same problem, tried a few things, but it does appear to start from were you left off so no biggie. I guess just look into it? I created a DXdiag file but I do not see an upload tab (maybe add one)? I would copy+paste but its about 10 pages long. If I could get a support email to send it into you guys? |
