Spike Lags (SG Server with MTR Info)

Hi after few months absent from PoE, I came back & realize that there is a new server which is "Singapore".

Are you sure you're experiencing network lag spikes, and not video lag? It may help if you open the debug display (hit F1 in game) and take a screenshot after getting some lag spikes.

" TBH I'm not sure about Frame Time but it does spike quite often. I can play Guild Wars 2 without much spikes though. Anyway here are the screenshot with F1:

It does appear to be video lag, rather than network lag.
You could try turning down your graphics settings and see if that helps. You could also try turning off vsync and see if that smooths out performance, but if you do this you should keep an eye on your graphics card temperature as they have been known to overheat with vsync disabled. | |
" The graphic setting is the lowest & I felt no difference between turning off/on Vsync as the spike is still there. Most of the time I get spikes when i played and on a rare occasion I do experience no spike at all and gameplay is very smooth but that only lasted for few hours on yesterday. |

What are your system specs? Have you made sure there are no other programs running in the background (including antivirus etc) while playing?

Are you sure PoE is using your dedicated graphics device? Some laptops have been known to use the integrated graphics instead.
It's usually possible to force the game to run on the dedicated device either in your graphics device control panel or by using one of the other tricks people have documented in the forums (and we're also working on a solution to make this unnecessary in future). | |

Yeah, that's definitely an issue with the game trying to use the onboard graphics. Dark souls has the same problem with laptops. That machine should handle PoE perfectly fine at 60fps on medium / high settings.
