Searing Bond Viable?

The damage from searing bond is beyond poop. GGG sorry but your full of it on this one. I like the one guys lightning warp totem though thats pretty funny!

Viable != Decent


A lot of shit is "viable" in this game, although most of eat will beat the dust against certain combos of map + affixes.


Sure is viable, just like life is "viable" with Kaom's chest or with certain facebreaker build (and these are decent but not necessarily good).
I saw someone post about a SB totem with a Light warp totem it seem pretty interesting with faster casting ect. to have the beam bounce around and with something like frost wall you can corral mobs into it.
Now I am just waiting for someone with Math skills who understands the Game Mechanics to make an OP build bases on Searing Bond.

Problem with searing bond is that pretty much all you can do is stack burning damage, so there's very little you can do to make it "OP", cause there's just no real options available to try out. It's like trying to make an "OP" freeze mine when there's only 1 gem that actually works with it.

Does anyone know if le heup of all and redbeak increase searing bonds damage? What about the buff and debuff passives? How if at all do they affect it?
I'm currently level 50 and in act1 merciless. Dual searing bond with dual fire traps. It's not as efficient as my LA, but it works well solo. Only problem is I'm trying to level so I can progress with better gear for resists and damage, but its soooooo slow because I have to solo everything. It's just TERRIBLE in groups. Others always mess up my packs and I always seem to be out of mana and health pots. I know it will be fun later on, but at this stage in the game it's just inefficient. It makes up for it in being different and kinda fun.

I too wonder if this huep item will increase the burning damage of searing bond?

I am interested in how OPs SB develops. I like the idea of SB, but I haven't found it useful so far.
Combining it with an LW totem seems fun, but unless the totem gets the monster to be between it and the SB totem, it's quite useless.

that sounds amazing... I just started a searing bond build (currently lvl 36) with fire traps (burning damage stacks) and i dont know what everyone hates about the damage? white mobs burn under 1 second blue in less than 2 seconds and tanky rare mobs in about 4
seconds ,and that only with searing bond if i firetrap them too and cast flammability i dont even see their helthbar going down..they just instant rip
