This entire post warms my heart :) One of the entire points of having tough RNG on things like 6-Link fusing and high end unique chancing is for rare moments like this one. Occasionally, someone beats the odds, and turns a simple white item into something truly glorious. The feeling is almost unmatched in gaming.

Huge congratulations to the OP, I hope the new armor serves you well for many days to come!

Brian is right, it's amazingly lucky and such an amazing feeling to have such a massive string of good luck. The only problem is that this feeling will happen to more than likely less than 1% of the player base. The other 99% are stuck dropping half a thousand or more fusings into one item and still stuck with less than a 6 link. Maybe one day, skill can be incorporated into a crafting system in some game.

GGG considers a lot of people to be an acceptable loss.

I'm certain GGG did what big corporations do, when calculating the loss of money in safer products vs legal costs in loss of life, only it's about how many people it is acceptable to just ignore and let quit.

Simply put:
Happy people buy stuff, unhappy people quit.
GGG did a calculation on how many people they need to keep happy to earn the maximum amount of money, and adjusted drop rates accordingly. If you don't get drops, GGG gives absolutely no sympathy to you, you're a calculated acceptable loss to them.

Is GGG a bad entity for doing so? Possibly. But can you blame them? Not really.
What you can do is hope you belong to the group of people who get the stuff. Pibadi is lucky to belong to that group that gets stuff. GGG is counting he and those in a similar situation to him stay and spend more money. And seeing as he's both a gold and a divine supporter, it seems GGG has done their job well.

Dude, this is just random. No need to build a conspiracy theory.
Aaron Ciccheli, a guy who made millions running Diablo and PoE RMT sites, owns a significant portion of GGG. How's that for a conflict of interest? 7.5% of your supporter pack money goes to this guy.

It's not a conspiracy theory, it's a logical thing to do.

Imagine if you were one of those who never get anything good. What are the chances of you spending any money on the game, if all you do is grind for alts all day every day?

GGG can adjust drop rates into whatever they want.

I can explain further:
GGG knows that with certain chances, there is a certain amount of people getting a certain amount of stuff.
For simplicity's sake, let's say they calculated that 20% of people get a lot of loot, 60% get medium amount, and 20% get close to no loot.

They also know, that happy people stay longer than unhappy people. The longer you stay, the better the chance that you will pay.
So, it's just a simple assumption that, it doesn't matter if the 20% who get no loot leave the game, because they'll have 80% of the population staying.
the 20% is an acceptable loss.

It's a business model, based on cold hard math. Like it or not, that's how some if not most if not all businesses work.

This game about grind. If you want to get something realy good you should spend your time in the game or be a SUPERLUCKY boy. As usual i spend 10+ hours per day play in PoE.
This game not a Pay to Win, this game is a Free to Play. You can't buy additional luck for you self :)

I apologize for editing my posts multiple times before reaching a full reply, leaving you to quote a much more limited part of what I'm trying to convey.

I'm one of those who work gradually and not all at once, I'm afraid.

I have never read more bullshit than in the last couple of posts?

You - seriously - think that the devs dare to adjust drop rates depending on support received? I am 99.999% sure they don't. You should google random number generator and how it works. The only thing that could happen, and that's the 0.001% I am unsure, is that they increase someone's drop chances manually if maybe in around 5000 hours that person hasn't found ANYTHING of value. But I highly doubt even that. It's too much work and too hard to supervise, especially for a free to play game with limited personal.

It is also against logic. If they are as evil as you say, why would they reward someone who has already put a lot of money into their product? You think chances are high this will happen again? In some cases maybe yes. But a much better strategy would be to increase drops for people who never found anything. This makes them happy, play the game longer, and more likely support the game. Think about it.

Forget about the conspiracy!

@OP: congrats to your second 6L. This is so much luck it's getting scary! ;)

I had spent a fair bit of money on this game before I had anything good drop at all. Hell, even now at 30 days played across all my characters I still dont have any drops worth more than two or 3 exalts, and I am fine with it.

Oh yea, grats op. I want your luck please..
